Do you guys actually enjoy lifting?

There's not a single day I don't dread going to the gym. 9 months in and lifting has not gotten any easier, nor has it felt any more rewarding than the first day. Four days a week it feels like I'm going through hell.
Are the people who say they enjoy lifting LARPing?

At age 34 my whole body starts aching if I don't workout at few times a week. Especially my sciatica aggrevates if I do nothing for two weeks. Needless to say that my "training" is something people who are retired do. But I just wake up early, do my routine at gym and go to work. No pressure in weights or my mirror image. I'm finally grown old enough just to work out for myself and for feeling good.

From experience it takes awhile to enjoy it, I'm fricking addicted now bro. My friends want to stage an intervention I have an appointment with an ep tomorrow it's gotten so bad
If you're at all sceptical about people pretending to like it I'm here to tell you I legitimately love it.
Maybe carb load the day before and push yourself harder

I feel like that on rest days. That's when the pain, stiffness and existential dread start creeping in.

i like the soreness from lifting. it’s a lil reminder that i worked hard and it feels so good stretching out my body in the mornings. i like doing a biggg stretch as if i’m a cat and it’s really the best ever

I started going to the gym after not going for 7 years. I stopped cause I got lazy and was working two jobs then just became a lazy fat frick

Now I'm more motivated than ever to get ripped, I hate rest days because I can't get my post workout high. I hate myself for quitting for so long, like I don't fricking don't get why I stopped at all. The post gym high is amazing.

You have to go because the shame of not going is even more painful.

to be honest its not something I overly enjoy, its just a chore that I've resigned to being essential 5 days a week minimum, I just shove on some music, do the needful and then live the rest of my day. Been doing it for a few years at this point so the appeal of sigmamalegigabrocoliLETS GOOOOOOOOOO *zyzz pose* enthusiasm has waned. But I still want to do it because I like having a good looking and functional body, work feels good.

I don't love it, but it's a lot better after the blood starts pumping and going.

I haven't experienced a greater feeling than putting on headphones, blast my favorite music of the week and lift my sorrows away. Bonus points if I had a tough day. The muscles and the health benefits are more of an after thought. This is what I enjoy it about it. I'm a total autist tho so yeh

maybe, could be that I'm low T. I don't find women (or men) attractive.
Anyways I just got back from the gym and feel well enough to play some vidya.

maybe get your hormones checked out? I don't always ENJOY it but it definitely feels good, sometimes it's a bit boring or feels like a chore, but I don't absolutely dread it like you do. I always feel much better after doing it, both physically and mentally.

Genuinely love it. I get angry if I don't go and I'm a dyel twink 2 years in.

I've gotten points where i've absolutely hated it tho. everytime that happens I deload and start to feel better after a week.

You might just be not be used to seeing signs of fatigue, OP.

I enjoy lifting, but I really really enjoy having lifted. I like the results. I like how I see myself differently when I'm more muscular. I like how everything seems lighter, and my health is better.
