Superior device coming through. Directorly targeting your wrist instead of stressing fingers which don't even have muscles in them.

I have one of these. It is not better than wrist curls.

they're for different purposes genius. Hand grippers are specifically for crushing strength not growing big forearms.
Allso a crusher is great for rehabbing tennis elbow

Oh heck yeah I do. I just got into this after discovering that I have way above average grip strength. You wouldn't think it to look at me but apparently I do. (See pic related.) I recently closed the Captains of Crush #2 for the first time, and I own the 2.5 which is my next goal. I don't ultimately think that I have what it takes to be truly great at this, say, closing the 3 or the 4. I just don't think I could take it that far. But I am looking forward to see how high I can get after going through my beginner gains stage at least.

      Supplementary exercises:
      Dead hangs
      Towel pull ups
      Farmer Walks
      Plate pinches
The wrist roller thingy with a rope and an attachment for weights at the bottom.

      Please add to my list.

I can close a captain of crush #2 but I think they’re more useful to test your grip strength than to train it

No, they look gay so I just use one of those rubber eggs I can squeeze in my palm.

Squeezing literal soft and squishy balls in your hand is less gay than using your grip to force together two knurled pieces of steel bar together?

  7. 9 months ago

No I just have this solid metal cylinder I found on the floor at work one day and I squeeze it as hard as I can till I cant squeeze no more

    >starting rock climbing

    Will it help?

It can, but grip strength alone only goes so far, especially when it comes to smaller holds. Good for warmup. Use a hangboard if you want finger gains

No it won't. Grippers will get you good at grippers only. They have very limited carryover to other grip disciplines like rock climbing and armwrestling. What you really need is a hangboard and train your finger tips. Strong Fingertips is the bread and butter of a climber and not his crushing strength.

What if I want to crush a man's skull like game of thrones? will grippers help with that?

grippers will improve any barbell or pullup exercise

Personally I prefer doing either carries or reverse curls but the issues is I'm getting more vascular sure and know I have strong forearms, but my wrists and upper forearm are still incredibly thin looking

How fast are you supposed to gain strength with these? I feel like I'm moving up faster than I should but I had a pretty weak ass grip to start. I just bought some Amazon shit, no idea how accurate they are.

A number 3 is hard but very much doable if you're autistic enough. 3.5 onwards is where hardwork and autistic obsession stops mattering much in favour of genetics.

I don't think they are useful for any actually practical grip strength applications

I use it not for doing X amount of squeeze reps, but squeezing and holding it together for long lengths of time, that helped my grip more.

    Guh

Yeah I use ‘em all the time
I had a surgery on my left ring finger and I was in a cast for bout a month
And so I couldn’t use that hand
And so I just regain my strength by using one ah those thingies

You have to warm your hands up and depending on how much of a gde you are you may have to limit weekly volume.
