It’s a wholegrain diet that got popular some months ago in fit. Basically he meant to not exercise and just enjoy. It’s suggested to go on a recomposition after the trip.

what am i, some hippy girl that loves to travel and enjoy life, am i some moron rich homosexual that thinks life is all fun "discovering" different cultures, frick out of here with your vacation travel bullshit homosexual, i exist to just work and workout.
Some places don't have decently accessible gyms. Im on vacation right now, tried to find some places with week passes to go and lift, but they either didn't have them available or they were only for locals. >inb4 calisthenics
I'm not bringing fricking rings to frick around at a children's park while on a trip like some pedo.
>I'm not bringing fricking rings to frick around at a children's park while on a trip like some pedo
You will never know the mires of 3rd world inhabitants staring in disbelief as a literal unicorn that is a white man cranks out pullups and dips on rusty playground equipment.
Depends on the length of the vacation. If it's more than a week, I do what I can with the facilities that are available with the energy and time that I have (my GF and I tend to have very active vacations; last vacation we got up at dawn every day to dive/snorkel and did all kinds of other stuff during the day). Lots of places I've been to have some poverty equipment. It's kind of fun to walk into a totally empty place ('cause yeah, hardly anyone lifts on vacation) and use literally every single plate they've got. Some places I've been to have had some pretty fricking awesome gyms though so I took some extra time just to lift there.
If it's less than that I don't worry about it and time my routine for it to be a planned rest week if I can.
More likely they're just wondering why the frick you're hogging up a children's playground.
Depends on the vacation.
If it's a cruise or something more sedentary, I'll work out at least twice that week.
If I'm actively exploring and moving, I don't bother.
I see it as a time to deload from weightlifting.
Usually I'm pretty active on vacation. Hiking, walking in a city all day, swimming or some game on the beach.
it's fricking easy to get a workout in especially if the hotel has a gym but also depends on the vacation if I planned to do alot of shit then might skip some days sinces probably walking around alot
I have one coming up in 2 weeks. A week at the beach. Im gonna lift the morning we go and find try to get a gym to let me use their shit for 2 days while im there. That should be good enough.
Depends on where one is on vacation. If it's just a week in one location and a couple days in another then nah, I just enjoy the vacay. Often it's more hassle than it's worth to find a gym that'll take you for a short period and has the equipment you need. But my family does go to the Philippines for a month at a time and I join, and for that yeah it's a whole month and gym's are pretty tolerant of non-locals getting a months membership without contract.
Last time I was there for two weeks. Gym in Okada was fricking nice. Cleanest gym I've ever seen, tiny Filipino girls fetching water and towels for you, pristine equipment of all kinds. Gym at the resort in island resorts were hilarious. Equipment was rusted even though it's obvious they tried really hard to keep the gym cool and dry. Had a real 3rd world feel to it while having some 1st world amenities (AC), but still totally usable.
I work out in other countries solely for the purpose of mogging them and making them feel inadequate because of my higher social status as an American.
some people have shoes specifically for wearing indoors
when i was a teenager living with my parents, i had to wear indoor shoes because their hardwood floors murdered my feet. not really sure why it affected me like that or if that's normal. i wore slides, though
Funny thing is that most Asian families DO NOT allow outside shoes indoors, like

I normally plan longer vacations so I can relax and enjoy things more taking it slow. So I normally get a gym membership while there and continue my workout schedule but if I miss a day I don’t care.
I think the issue is lots of people like to overly plan and cram in too much stuff on vacation, where I will do what some people will try to do in 4 days in 2 weeks, and will take more time just enjoying the little things.
i like to wake up early and take a jog around the neighborhood i’m staying in. i get to see the place i’m in rather than staring at the inside of a hotel gym and afterwards I can eat whatever I want
Yes, part of the fun of a new country is experiencing the gym culture, when I was in Norway a while back there were a lot of oly bros, cross fitters and body builders. Everyone was pretty cool though awkward as skandis are
>spend money for a plane ticket or train or whatever transportation >spend money on lodging >do the same thing you would at home
do you virgins really?
for vacation no. I push myself really close to the limits of my recovery most of the time it's good to get two-three weeks of doing nothing more strenuous than walking, swimming and fricking.
Just got back from a weeklong family vacation, had a really nice time. Just did a couple hundred pushups every day and I stayed pretty juicy nothing crazy needed if you're eating right.
Depends on where I am going and for how long. If I'm going on a weekend trip I won't bother working out. But when I visit my family for a couple weeks every summer I make sure to workout while I am there.

what a israeli thing to say
Usually some form of dumbed down or half assed routine. Usually just hit the treadmill and do free weights.
I work out more than normal
But frick vacations. If my woman did not do them I would not go. Money better spent in snp500
Depends on whether or not the hotel has a good gym. Otherwise I'm swimming laps in the pool and doing pushups in my room

yes cause I enjoy working out
Every time people post this picture, I can't help but wince at her wearing shoes on top of the blanket.
Disgusting bug

when i was a teenager living with my parents, i had to wear indoor shoes because their hardwood floors murdered my feet. not really sure why it affected me like that or if that's normal. i wore slides, though
why not wear slippers
recommend me some comfy slippers with good padding? like i said, i wear slides which are basically slippers except your toes are exposed
also it doesn't really look like a blanket to me. looks like something you put down when you're painting or something
Funny thing is that most Asian families DO NOT allow outside shoes indoors, like

Look at THAT toilet, damn.
Christ almighty.

It appears to me that this young lady would quite enjoy a HWD (holiday without duress)
i would already get a great workout from massacring foreigners, which would be the purpose of my vacation
I haven't been overseas in 10 years but yes I would, imagine mogging for the motherland.
i like to wake up early and take a jog around the neighborhood i’m staying in. i get to see the place i’m in rather than staring at the inside of a hotel gym and afterwards I can eat whatever I want

No, taking a week off from lifting 2-3 times a year is not a big deal and can even be beneficial.
I heard dynamic (self-resistance) isometrics are really good for maintaining gains. Is there any truth to this?
for vacation no. I push myself really close to the limits of my recovery most of the time it's good to get two-three weeks of doing nothing more strenuous than walking, swimming and fricking.
I would do a calisthenics after waking up for about an hour just to keep the body active while having enough time for sightseeing and drinking.
Just got back from a weeklong family vacation, had a really nice time. Just did a couple hundred pushups every day and I stayed pretty juicy nothing crazy needed if you're eating right.
>implying working out and enjoying yourself are separate things
ngmi
I reap the rewards of my hard work and frick local b***hes without a condom then bounce
unfathomably based
I would enjoy the vacation less if I didn’t
The fun things I do on vacation are exercise so yes, to both.
>Visit desert
>Go mountain biking
>Visit ocean
>Go surfing/kiteboarding
>etc
Depends on where I am going and for how long. If I'm going on a weekend trip I won't bother working out. But when I visit my family for a couple weeks every summer I make sure to workout while I am there.
that depends
If I am away for 3 weeks+ even before I leave the states I look for a nearby jimbo.
If it is a 5-7 days vacation, I enjoy flexing ma muscles.
