Yes. It causes rapid hairloss even in women. Your body goes into starvation mode and hair is something your body puts before keeping itself alive.

Why would it go into starvation mode if my calories are fine (ie 5lbs a month)

Carbs are the body's preferred fuel source.

no theyre not. theyre used first when you eat high carb because high blood sugar is toxic

Why don't you try a diet your body was designed for instead? I don't understand why you people keep thinking meat is healthy when every study indicates it's not. Go vegan or die early.

I may as well do keto because I am fat as hell and I lost all my hair at 20 anyway so it isn't like ketosis can kill any more of it.

    >Those symptoms
Like with any diet you are supposed to stop after a while, those symptoms would be caused by negligence for a long time, not because someone is on keto or any diet.

Keto doesn’t cause hair loss, creatine does.

It's the most common side effect and hairless immediately. Why are you lying?

Id say no but since most people that do this diet have 0 idea on what an actual healthy diet looks like, they end up doing more harm than good by being deficient in a lot of micros and macros.
    So possibly yes

im OP and im bipolar, keto is supposed to help.

Im also looking to cut 30lbs in the process, wondering if I will lose hair on a 3 months, 5lbs a month cut (doing it twice after a 3 month maintenance phase in between)

Try it out I guess. Its going to be completely up to you to track your macros and micros and make sure you are actually healthy. Don't think just because an avocado is healthy that it automatically means you are healthy.

how can i make sure my keto is healthy? just the amount of calories / electrolytes?

Maybe you could pin HGH while cutting, since it is like the only PED that is actually beneficial for the hair on your head.

I have not noticed any hair loss issues but then again I have a lot of hair so even if I did I probably wouldn't notice it.
