does kimchi raise T levels?

Is this why Koreans are so IST compared to neighboring countries? I drink kombucha all the time but it's so expensive, should I start eating kimchi instead?

Isn’t it just carbonated vinegar with sugar lmao

Yeah but what? Like a 2% increase? Not even worth the effort and extra stress that comes with being autistic about diet which probably lowers it right back

You can make your own kombucha, and I'm pretty sure sauerkraut has more of the good stuff that kimchi has, just don't cook it or you kill the pro/prebiotics or whatever the frick it has

      >sauerkraut has more of the good stuff that kimchi has
it tastes gross and kimchi stays for a long time part of the appeal. A huge bottle of it is like $20

Yeah that's true. I also prefer the taste of kimchi and it's probably not a big enough difference to matter

        >it tastes gross
Its literally just sauerkraut made with a different kind of cabbage (a negligible difference in texture, flavor and nutrition) and some spices. When this has finished fermenting, I was just going to drop some Korean red pepper in one of my jars and have that for variety. 1 large head of cabbage netted me about 3lbs (1.5kg) of usable product, and only cost me $3 (minus the cost of the jars, which are like $1 each when you buy a dozen)

    Yeah probably raises T

i tried to look up actual studies about it, but it's mostly just clickbait websites. But there has to be real reasons humans have been eating fermented food for thousands of years right?

      >kombucha is expensive?
if you buy high quality stuff with actual probiotics put in there. Where i live it's about $12 for a jug with 5-6 servings. I like to drink a glass after fasting to really frick with my tummy. But I started after reading that serotonin and other chems get made in your gut and I can definitely feel the difference

yeah they have that culture of worshipping twinks but that's mainly a female k-pop thing.

I live in a diverse asian area in the usa, and the Koreans dude's I know are generally taller, more IST, etc than most people. Chinese and viet don't really compare. It could really be a generational thing though

Kimchi is just pickled vegetable. Specifically cabbage.
It's got a good range of different bacteria that could maybe be good for the gut.
Sauerkraut is a good alternative, as is pickles.
I doubt it has any measurable effects on T. Could make your poops better and bolster the digestive process, maybe.

No idea about test (realistically - why the frick would it raise t), but it's pretty good for the gut health. Fiber, lactic acid bacteria. I've been having much nicer poops since starting fermenting a head of napa cabbage once a week and eating it gradually with dinner.

Testosterone is constantly fluctuating throughout the day and from day to day.
Here are test levels of two men measured every 10 minutes for a 36 hour period.
For some reason everyone thinks their test levels are stable, then you take some supplement that you read raises test by 12.5% and then your test levels go up 12.5% and stays stable again.
Sorry, doesn't work like that. Test levels are violently unpredictable depending on a million different inputs to the body at any given time.
That's why people on TRT have an advantage, their test levels stay stable and constant regardless of their lifestyle.
It's also why single blood tests don't mean much. You need several blood tests to find an average to draw conclusions.

This is why high cholesterol and saturated fats are associated with more muscle mass in all demographic from the young to elderly. More hormone fuel basically while twinks take scam, indonesian herbs and think that's going to do anything.

This is not a keto post by the way.

This is true, the high cholesterol keto diet is best for testosterone levels, and it doesn't crash free testosterone despite the misinformation disseminated by Derek from More Plates More Dates who cherry picks a couple of eceleb bloodworks to push his lie that "keto crashes free testosterone".

Idk about T levels bro, but I prepare some kimchi all the time, once in a month probably, just leave a bunch of it fermenting and it's good tod go. Could be considered a bit weird, bit it goes amazingly good with red meat and in any other meat dishes and sandwiches.
