Getting lean and having proper neck posture will do more for your jaw than thinking about where your tongue is.
All th the facial exercises to improve facial structure are actually legit and proven by studies. Facial bones are not permanently fixed as believed by many and instead are held together by multiple joints. Proper breathing techniques and tongue posture are two extremely important factors. Eating more chewy foods or exercising your jaw muscles also helps. The way to get the most drastic change though is to lose weight as having too much fat on the face is the problem for most people.
