you have to tense up your core pretty hard to have your spine not crumple down from holding all the weight
your grip is likely going to fail much sooner than your core but you'll still feel it in your abs a little bit afterwards
>I don't see how.
that's because you're a dumb fricking homosexual who hasnt bothered learning anatomy
Do you really think abs are there just because? stupid moron
It works the abs just ever so slightly by the isometric contraction of holding your torso erect, but even this it hardly does because you're holding a weight in each hand, balancing yourself. If you actually want to train your core strength, do suitcase carries instead of farmer walks. Suitcase carries bias the abs a whole lot more. Now if you want a muscular core, do side bends and situps, going through the actual range of motion of the muscle, by contracting and relaxing it, which incidentally is the exact function of our muscles.
It does because the abs keep your torso erect and help when you push forward while walking but it's not like you get a real pump unless your started off in bad shape.
I use the hex bar for this movement and it really works the glutes and traps, also my normal life walking speed increased quite a bit.
>I don't see how.
Farmers don't work the anterior chain as much as yoke but when you get to moving quickly with heavier weights (120kg+ per hand) you need a lot of stability through the core to stay upright
When obese people lose weight, they generally have insanely massive calves from moving all that excess around. So, partially yes.
um... abs are not synonymous to calves
>he doesn't know
looool, imagine not knowing
No those are baby cows

Every exercise works everything. The glutes? Barbell curls work them. The neck? Squats work them. Quads? The Bench Press works them.
Lmfao.
Just want to know if it will grow forearms
Pick something to grow forearms and do it consistently. Forearms didn't grow? Move on to the next thing on the list.
Frick you

You have to brace your core
If you suitcase it
