Firm belief of mine that marijuana makes you fat. You give me a young, 18-year-old girl and give her pot she'll blow up like a balloon and waddle like a penguin in 6 months.

You give that same girl a few lines of cocaine, you have a really cool ass chick who isn't fat.

Gf of mine. She has a few extra pounds but the vast majority of it went to her ass. Then, I saw photos of her when she was 18 and asked her what happened. Figured out she started smoking weed after high school.

It likely inceases sex drive via the dopaminergic pathway rather than via testosterone. You can get similar effects of high libido and making things more interesting by smoking meth which also increases dopamine, and provides it's effects independent of testosterone.

I've done both. Regular amphetamine does not match the extreme euphoria of meth at all, not even close. Don't do it, you will never go back to speed if you do.

              >Regular amphetamine does not match the extreme euphoria of meth at all
That's because you are taking it via different routes of administration and dosages.
If you taken them at equipotent doses and routes they are relatively similar in effects.
If you gave a person a tablet of amphetamine, and a week later gave the a tablet of methamphetamine, it would be hard for them to make big distinctions between the two. Some people may prefer one over the other due to unique brain chemistry.

This is definitely not the case. 20 mg oral amphetamine is definitely not the same feeling as 20 mg methamphetamine. Meth feels a lot more euphoric and lasts way longer. Lisdexamphetamine will wear off in about 7-8 hours for me. I feel spun on meth for 12-16 easily.

                >20 mg oral amphetamine is definitely not the same feeling as 20 mg methamphetamine
20 mg of amphetamine is not the same dose as 20mg of methamphetamine.
You would need to take around 10mg of methamphetamine to match the 20mg of amphetamine. That's what equipotent means. This will reduce the intensity of the methamphetamine euphoria significantly and also reduce the length of time where you have a dose high enough in your bloodstream to cause euphoria, reducing the 12 to 16 hours of the higher dose down to closer to 8 hours of the amphetamine dose.

I'm going to be the odd man out then. I got a pretty good concussion about 3 years ago and D9 has really been the only thing that has helped me achieve deep sleep.

I've tried CBD, teas, sleep aid pills (not full on sleeping pills) and other strands of delta products, but D9 seems to be the only one that gets me to a deep sleep.

If I try to sleep regularly, it's an incredibly light sleep and where I wake up about every 2 hours. Honestly wish I didn't have to rely on D9, but after having such shitty, light sleep for months, I'll take it being a nighttime vice just so I can have meaningful sleep.

I experimented with weed for a while in college. Only benefits is that it makes video games more fun and stand up comedy hilarious. Everything else is boring on weed. Movies, exercise, music, and food are all a bit better but not really cause you forget it instantly anyways. That’s why stoners hype up weed so much, because they’re in a constant high they think sobriety is not normal. Tolarance is a hell of a thing though. I used to smoke weed with this girl in high school. She was a stoner. She smoked every goddamn day I knew her, said her dealer wanted to frick her. She got fat and became a tattooed stripper. Sad, because I remember the days she was semi-innocent and really hot. Kissed her once, never fricked. Hope she’s doing well now but probably not. Anyways ramble over.

I either smoke or drink daily. At this point it just makes me angry, or to say it in a better way, it makes me connect better with an unpleasant feeling that I think I tend to shut off when I am sober or around people. It doesn't help me relax or get happy, but, to the contrary, it helps me reflect and think in a more objective way about the direction my life is taking.

Weed unironically makes me exercise harder to the point where it's even a problem. Between the painkiller effect and getting super fixated on something I work out so hard I really end up sore afterwards. I don't lift weights with it because that takes too much coordination and would be dangerous but it puts me in a cardio trance straight away and i can just go much further than I usually would. It's sort of like I get totally in my head and my body just goes on autopilot so as long as I set myself running or whatever I just keep going and zone out.

That said it obviously isn't good for you to bomb your hippocampus and its androgen inhibiting effects are well documented. I tapered down my weed consumption because I am worried about its long term impact on cognition and memory but once or twice a month I'll do it and I do it instead of alcohol which is more unhealthy imo albeit probably less of a gains goblin.

      >You dont even remember anything when youre stoned
What? One thing I love about being high is I remember everything.
Yeah it's an escape from life for a while. The mild psychedelic effects are why I do it and while I would rather do harder psychs I don't have easy access to them.
Weed is really quite inexpensive heck most people spend more on coffee. Psychs are even cheaper.

      >it's the only way to make it fun for me.
If the only way for you to do something is to get high first, you're an addict.

Running is boring as frick. I do cardio sober but it's infinitely more fun high. It goes from a tedious painful chore to something actively fun and inb4 >le addict this doesn't apply to everything but running really is boring. Just one leg in front of the other over and over again endlessly while you sweat and pant. Weed makes me sort of disassociate and go to dreamland while my body does the hard work it's great. Then I return to reality and I have that post workout glow and soreness.

It's good if you're trying to bulk and have issues sleeping, but besides that, no.
It helps with stress, unironically. Do not ever smoke weed if you take asthma steroids, medicine for your skin, or blood thinners.

Weed kills the quality of your sleep do not use it as a sleep aid. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the damage it does to people is because they're weed sleeping.

I've got three weeks to detox for a pre emp after smoking chronically for about a two year spree. I'm pretty sure I'm fricked and it's 100% my bad. Doing cardio every day to at least convince myself I'm doing something about it. Dreamed for the first time in those two years about four days in. The fact that it inhibits my ability to remember dreams at all should be reason enough to question it's safety.

I mean I'd definitely be "healthier" if I didn't smoke weed, inhaling smoke into your lungs is never good for you, but having said that I wouldn't enjoy running at all if I didn't rip dabs before I did it. It's such a repetitive action it's the only way to make it fun for me.

I don't like to do serious weightlifting high though, my head already gets swimmy if I'm deadlifting or squatting heavy enough. It's better to have my first sesh of the day after the gym, it's a nice reward and helps me devour my post workout meal.

TLDR I don't think it has a negative affect on my gains, but no real positive either besides making my lifting music sound better and running/cardio bearable.

While I never got into weed much myself, I have watched it really mess with the lives of several friends/family. No matter how "casually" they start, they all ended up being heavy smokers who would talk about how they have to smoke it to feel "normal." Everything eventually revolved around getting high and being high, to the point they wouldn't want to hang out unless you for sure had shit for them to smoke. One of my cousins talks about how he can't function day to day if he isn't high: straight up can't make a grocery list if he doesn't get high before writing it.

One of them recently decided to quit entirely because he realized all he could think about was when he could get high next, and he's having some serious withdraw issues. He hasn't been able to eat without vomiting for two days, he's sweating buckets, and is so anxious he can't sit in one place more than a minute.

I've never smoked, but from decades of observation, about 15% of regular users of this drug are essentially unaffected, about 20% become slaves to it who tell you "I could quit whenever I want but I just don't want to" with their mental addiction. The affected 85% almost uniformly lose all real drive and ambition, discipline and grit they may have had. They mostly don't realize or agree that this has happened but they become people who absolutely cannot overcome adversity and therefore never strive to succeed. Pot smokers get really upset when you tell them this and tall tales of the many potheads who are in the unaffected 15% abound, but most of them just become giant pussies and even bigger losers.

I smoked for about 17 years. Eventually started to have panic attacks when I smoked. Can't explain why. I quit smoking pot 5 months ago. Feels like I got a pay raise.

    Weed is peak homosexualry.

Find me a grown man that likes the weed high and isn't a complete homosexual or a Black person. Weed is a drug for women and Black folk. Normal men do not like the high.

The paranoia is real, I notice it much more after I've taken time off from the pot. Feels hard to talk to people.

Smoked basically daily for the best part of 10 years. It helped bring me up to a better "baseline", the issue was that as my circumstances changed and my personality developed, that psychological baseline was holding me back from reaching higher peaks of fulfillment, happiness, experience and so forth. Last year I decided to keep it to the weekends which has largely been a success. I think my biggest regret going from a daily smoker was that it made me "less present" when I was high. It sounds cringe but I feel more connected to my wife and dare I say I love her even more, and it feels kinda bad that I essentially nerfed a few years of this.

Yes, there are benefits to weed but you have to be careful. You must respect the substance, but more importantly you must respect yourself. Whilst it can help you get to and stay asleep, by and large I think it is bad for sleep. I think "medicating" to help with sleep is a slippery slope anyway, and is best avoided. Likewise, for stress release perhaps in the short term it is useful, but it is better to be self-sufficient in managing stress and taking pro-active steps to minimise/insulate yourself from environmental causes of stress like your work and so forth.

I am mostly posting in this thread because I am currently not smoking it at all. I quite simply realised that I wasn't enjoying it. I live in the UK (for my sins) so I have to buy somewhat large amounts at a time (6g) and whilst I don't really know much or care about the indica/sativa things the stuff I get tends to be the head high, not the body high that i used to enjoy and appreciate so much especially after a fat gym session. I have a lot more going on in my life and so I think weed has become a lot less competitive in making me feel good, reducing my stress and stuff like that.

The blessing and curse of weed is that the acute negative effects are fairly minimal. The comedown / withdrawal isn't super strong, but even though it's hard to notice, it is very much occurring. You'll have a honeymoon phase, then start to experience the negative effects. The negative effects certainly have a compound interest, and by the time it becomes tangible you may be in too deep. Because of the honeymoon, you may exhibit "cope" whereby you recognise that something isn't quite right, but you won't attribute it to the weed because "i was smoking during [time] and things were good".
Perhaps I will return to weed and motivation later.

It affects different people in different ways. I think of it like an amplifier, if you're a couch potato before then weed will make you worse, if you're productive person already then the weed will allow you to focus even more on your tasks. But even then it fricks you if you get dependent on it, a lot of the guys I work with cannot function properly without having a puff before work. Its not like how people become irritable without their daily coffee, these guys are barely responsive, just staring at their phones without even scrolling. Count my blessings weed never did that to me, but then I know they were doing ritalin too so it might not have been the weed responsible.

I really used to love weed and smoke it.
Now I stopped to be honest , its an expensive drug for the ones who can allow themselves to be honest , all the people who have no problem enjoying it that I know are the ones who got operating companies behind their back that they just sit at home all day doing whatever and adjusting their business papers here and there with the financial people.

Most casual people I know the ones who smokes are also into the heavier drugs , and the ones who quit and not into heavier stuff just stay with old booze.

But some basic facts around people nearme/me who smokes:
    >Money waster , lot of people stuck without any weed and asks for credits for their next patch .
    >Mood swings , everyone come to a point where they have insane mood swings when they run out.
    >Anti social , most potheads just hit few blunts and stay in their head(zone) and don't give a frick what's going on around and just freeze mode or some kind , like a vegetable.
    >If you young police will give you much more of a shit than someone my age.
    >I only know 1 occasionally pot smoker that take few hits here and there just because he's into designer drugs.
    >Eventually it becomes cigarette 2.0 after a while
Other than that , take few puffs at a setting twice a year with someone just to experience if you really that itchy and never touch it again , or don't touch it overall.

My overall point , if you want to find the hardware that's your choice , over my lifetime I know maybe 3 people who smoked three four times just to fit in and try and never smoked it again , not ones give a shit.
I know people who are "good boys" and sober their whole life but did 7 years in jail for false rape accusation , damn there were times when you just asked your local pot head this questions and not the internet lmao.

    t. 32 , hash was the thing for me to be honest more than weed, weed is fricking lame.
Now its just don't do it for me.

If I vape it once in a while, would i see any significant decline in cardio ability and athleticism? I'm talking no more than once or twice a week, just a few puffs to get mildly high

a few puffs might not be that bad, but I used to take Sat/Sun and vape constantly on those days. burnt out on weed in ~2 years time from doing that every weekend. so basically 2/7 of the time I had a lot of weed in me. that is definitely not sustainable.

it hurts rem sleep. so you just sleep more ineffeciently. its up to you if this is an issue for you. for me it turned into an issue so i stopped. the feeling of waking and baking after smoking the night before, missing out on rem sleep...youll feel like youre dead.

also weed makes a lot of homies look ugly.

I used to smoke virtually every day, I thought it made me smarter and allowed me to think better. The only thing it was doing was making me forget everything else hence allowing me to focus and whatever task I was doing.
It made me forget how much I liked workout, it made me plan my days around smoking. After work my only activities were smoking , look at my phone and watch tv .
It started to take a toll on my work, it started to become very hard to comprehend reading anything. I’d forget things I was supposed to do.
I decided to just stop, I know people who just smoke now and then and they appear fine, me I just didn’t have limits when it came to weed, I haven’t smoke for more of a year and I don’t miss it at all I got my life back
I had stopped two other times before but deep inside I was missing it

it's low T b***h shit to be addicted to anything, especially weed which makes you "feel good". If I was a hot high value chick, would I want to be with some homosexual who needs weed to feel good on the daily? Of course not. Man the frick up. I'm 500+ days clean after daily for a decade, don't miss it tbh. (tho I will dabble occasionally once I hit 1000)

I'll concede that b***hes probably want to frick roidtrannies b/c they don't know how to identify roiders + they are subconsciously drawn to the high T, but not gonna do it personally. they're also subconsciously drawn to high T nattys, but I think roids may help the betas

It just stopped feeling good to me. I quit cold turkey and tried it again a few times, but it's such a shitty sensation that I just say no now. After smoking weed everyday for two years a some more, I developed tolerance and then you just smoke to feel normal. It's stupid.
I miss when I used to like it. I would laugh, have fun, do stupid shit, love food. But when that's gone it becomes a waste of money.

It fricks up your REM sleep, you probably don’t realise but you haven’t had a real dream in years if you’ve been high the whole time. As soon as you quit your dreams came back and are crazy as frick
