    DO NOT walk through the forest
    I went walking today went to the forest area in my town, wanted to follow one of those animal paths you see, I did for 5 minutes and then the path disintegrated, I continued to walk and there, 200m from me was a fireplace in the middle of bumfrick forest, this is in damp, drab easter europe shithole(it rained a few hours earlier) in the middle of day. I never clearly saw them cause dead trees were in the way but someone was actively keeping the fire alive
    Im 6ft 190lbs with big coat on, but if I was a 120lbs woman
    why would there be guys in the middle of forest during a rainy day making a fire? the fire was putting out a lot of smoke so either the wood was damp or they were burning something

      I walked past them to the nearest road that I knew would be there(like 20 min walk) idk if they saw me, but I made a few of those loud CRACK sounds as I was sneaking around them, I wanted to go back and investigate but it was getting late and I had to eat(im bulking still)

          if its stamina you probably want to run not walk unless youre extremely out of shape, idk what the average weight is for someone who's 5'2 but most likely you'd be better off going to the gym in that case (since 120 lbs isn't going to give you the leg strength a superfat person naturally gets by walking).

            i'm definitely not in shape, just not extremely out of shape
            when i walk 3 miles straight in a hour i'm tuckered out, then after a 5-10min break i can do another hour of light walking with intermittent stops, this is while wearing 3lb weights on my ankles
            my goal is to be able to go 10 miles straight without a problem

              Stop wearing weights on your ankles, it does not help you get stronger, you are just simulating the wear that being fat does to your joints.

              Go out unencumbered and walk for longer. If you don't have the time or you want to get your heartrate high, then wear a backpack with water bottles in it.
              But ditch the ankle weights, walkng sticks, trekking jackets, fancy water bottles, all of that absolute SHIT.

              They are all moronic accessories for boomers who think they can and must buy their way into active hobbies in order to be prepare and look the part. Instead of just going out and doing things.

    Exercise is pointless without diet. You can simply drop your kcal intake and achieve the same thing. Muscle mass has the side benefit of burning more calories when idle, but you're not going to get much muscle by just walking around. You'd need use a treadmill with a good incline (and keep increasing the incline over time) to build muscle.

    This does work, but 6 hours a day is stupid, do 2 hours and eat smarter, and work up to 4 hours and continue eating smarter forever.

    I did 2 to 4 hours every night to get 1000kcal deficit per day, for months at a time in 2021, and it does work, you will lose about 10lbs per month on a 1000 deficit.

    Tips
    >work up to it
    Don't do 2 hours on the first night if you don't already walk a lot. Aim to do 5km at first, then after a few days start doing 6km.
    >plot courses in your neighbourhood
    Use Google maps to create a "circuit" in your neighbourhood that reaches a nice round number.
    For example, I have a 6km square I can walk in 1 hour, and if I don't feel adventurous or can't get out for 4 hours at a time to go on a real walk, I can fit in a 1 hour circuit 2 to 3 times that day, to at least hit my calorie goals.
    >you're not always out to see the sights
    Walking in nature is great, but you are doing this for calorie burn. You simply cannot burn efficiently if you are on a new trail or enjoying the sights.
    If I am enjoying woodland or a new neighbourhood, I am probably only walking 4.5 to 5.5km per hour.
    Versus 6.3km/h in familiar, flat, boring territory.
    You are either out to see the world or out to change your body in a short space of time, pick a lane.

    Buy trekking shoes and use them every day. You dont have to treat them well, because you will replace them every few months when the tread wears down.
    Look for shoes people buy religiously for jobs where they have to stand got long hours, like reebok "work n cushion" or whatever they are called. They are giant, ugly things, but you can walk 30km in them every day for months

    i think obviously 6hr/week is meant, but the answer i think is no, because I've walked 1hr daily while fat and it didn't do jack shit (besides make me feel better)
    now if you combine it with fasting, and walk in a fat-adapted state, then you will actually be directly burning body fat, as directly as humanly possible
