The only pain source that I haven't figured out yet is the stiffness and pain in my lower back and right buttocks area. I've done 3 MRIs of my spine, which showed nothing wrong, got an EMG, which also showed nothing wrong, followed the stretching routines of 2 different physical therapists, tried other remedies on my own like daily dead hangs, and even acupuncture - which surprisingly worked, but only for about a week after each session. Nothing has cured me.
Yes. Fever is the body's defense mechanism. The only thing those things do is suppress the fever and make you feel comfy at the expense of immune efficiency, a very pussy tradeoff. Ever since I stopped taking anything for colds and flus, they almost never last more than two days. You have to drop the normie conditioning that high fever is dangerous. It's not.
Yes but those are exceptional conditions caused by things gone wrong in the brain's thermoregulation functions. Ordinary physiological response to an infection is not that. Fever up to about 41C is fine and you'd see that fevers run up to right about that. And if your fever does go up to that ballpark, you can bet you'll be pretty much completely recovered the next morning.
>fevers can absolutely kill you
Your body will never run a high enough fever to actually damage itself unless your brain is infected. As long as your fever stays at or below 102 you're fine, and if it's warmer than that, something is seriously wrong and you should go to a hospital.
Came to post this, but since it was already said I came
Take the no pills pill if you want to get better quicker.
It's so hard to find a decongestant without acetaminophen

but what if youre in excrutiating pain? i currently have bad sinusitis which has spread to the ear for 4 days - i can barely stay still without painkillers, any less sleep. just pop the pills before bed to get some sleep and suffer the pain during the day, or should i quit it entirely?
ive noticed that i have less fever during the night when i take both acetaminophen and ibuprofen, but i sleep 9 hours
Fever suppressors do slightly prolong colds. Your body is running a fever for a reason. Many pathogens that evolved to target humans prefer a temperature of 98 deg F. Your body runs a fever to disrupt them. Furthermore, your own immune system operates more efficiently at temperatures greater than 98 deg F. By taking cold medicine you're slowing down your own immune system and helping pathogens. That said, the effect is very minimal, and relief that comes from cold medicine often outweights the cost of staying sick an extra half a day.
Anybody else notice that Tylenol Night and Day does absolutely frick all when you have a flu? Next time you are sick, reach for Advil Cold and Sinus (or whatever the cheaper generic version with the same ingredients beside it is)
Why are you taking it for a cold? Do you have a fever? That is the only reason you should take acetaminophen with a cold.
I have a sinus infection and a massive headache
Don't take that weak shit
Use pixel instead
>acetaminophen

Quick rundown: https://www.thedailybeast.com/let-it-burn-why-you-should-let-fevers-run-their-course
fevers can absolutely kill you, while the infection might be harmless or even not exist (plenty autoimmune horror conditions in the book)

I haven't had a cold in a decade. You're doing it wrong.

>Any long term damage from taking this every time u have a cold?
No. Unless you keep getting a cold every other day or some shit
