Which one works better, foil or rotary? I'm looking to get a decent electric shaver.
Razor gays frick off, I don't care about how much you prefer a razor.

Works better for what? Neither of these will help you in your fitness journey at all bro. I'm beginning to suspect that this isn't even fitness related....
I prefer a razor myself.
Just use a knife. Why waste money?
>Why waste money?
It helps avoid wasting time. I spend hardly any time shaving since buying a Braun series 9
Why do c**ts use these and not razors?
Its fast and easy, homosexual. Not everyone wants to make shaving a whole ass hobby like some redditors
Is it as clean cutting as a razor though fat frick?
Yes. You have never used one before, while I've used dozens of those meme safety razors so shut the frick up lmao
>I-I-Im a big boy because I use a big boy razor, because some neckbeards on a shaving forum told me thats what makes me mature!!
kek. just kek.
>wanting a clean cut
I actually prefer electric shavers because they DON'T give me a babyface shave like razors do
Using a razor is fast and easy too you moronic child. Unironically if it takes you longer than 45 second to shave when in a hurry you're a low t queer who doesn't know how to shave.
Good goy
Keep buying new razers every week so we can keep in business
Make sure to buy the ones with 6 blades too!
I bet I spend less on razors than you replacing your shitty mantoy every time it breaks.
Better shave
No cuts
You don't need to constantly buy new ones
>
Literally false
>
You are a clumsy baby
>
Blades are all but free
We get it, you're poor and have an inferiority complex
>better shave
I have tried cheap ones and $600 Brauns, though I’ve never tried rotary ones and I can say this is bullshit.
Maybe if your hair is thin and grows slowly you can run these over your face each day for 5 minutes to be clean shaven but any man worth a damn will have facial hair too rough for these cash grabs
Because it leaves a sexy stubble.
it's somewhere in-between a wet shave with the grain and one against the grain. The point being you can do almost any time even multiple times a day if needed. With a wet shaving you open the pores more and get more of the hair but you also give the skin more abrasion and potentially open your skin up to irritation and redness if it's not perfectly sterile and the long process of trouble shooting shaving creams, after shave/post shave balm to find the one thing that's causing the redness. Apart from just being more time consuming you have to carefully meter how many times you shave a week to not cause redness.
Where it makes the most difference appearance wise is for men with more transparent skin or constantly visible beard/moustache shadow. Since they require more frequent shaving but likely can't get the desired effect with shaving with the grain only and probably don't have the skin resilience to close shave every day.
If dudes who grow so much facial hair that they have to shave twice a day can't handle shaving twice a day then why do they act like they're more masculine than me?
probably because they are and don't have something as effeminate as a skincare routine.
They do though. Beard products are a big thing.
Are you having stroke?
>doesn't have anything as effeminate as skincare routines
>rubs numale deluxe vegan soibeard oil on his ballsack cushion
We were talking about people who shave not people who grow beards. That's a different mess of homosexualry all together the "no grooming" or "I try hard to look like I'm not trying" cluster of gaybos.
I just do it all. No groom the mustache. Clean shave the sides. Stubble on the chin. And I get a little gay with it and wash my face when I shower.
I don't know. The first time I tried using an electric shaver I got massive irritations and I wasn't even clean shaven.
I shave for a reason, the stubble doesn't look good on me.
They both work. The one thing is that if you have a bald head and you wanna use it for your head, the rotary will work better
>enters the game
Shaver shills explain how exactly this works.
One of the reasons I use a razor is because I can get a baby smooth close shave. I buy 6 blade razors from dollar tree so it's not expensive either.
What are the benefits to using these products?
I don't like dry shaving because from my understanding it basically just chews your stubble off like a weed wacker.
And why is "chewing your stubble off like a weed wacker" a bad thing? It literally grows back in a few hours.
It's just that it's not as clean a cut. Part of shaving is the feeling and texture of my face as a result. Few things compare in feeling to a close shave. That said I'm willing to try new things if there's some benefits I'm unaware of.
>Few things compare in feeling to a close shave.
YWNBAW
You're God damn right. I'm a man's man.
it's a very soothing feeling your fresh face graze against your shirt
If you can close shave without pimples/ingrowns, then getting a OneBlade isn't useful.
>What are the benefits to using these products?
some guys have sub 5 skin and get ingrown hairs/cystic acne/subhuman bumps from shaving. most of the time it's just from using onions 8 blade shit dirty razors instead of just using a single/double edge safety razor
I've got the shaver on the right
It works really well but I kinda wish I kept with the foil razer
Kinda annoying the way you need to shave in circles
Does the rotary shave any better than foil though?
Especially the neck seems to be difficult to shave well with a foil shaver for me
Electric shavers are shit use a razor you massive homosexual.
Any of u Black person have a oneblade? Are they based?
Black folk* sorry
>he doesn't just use a hair clipper with no attachment for that cool five o clock shadow
ngmi
I unironically did that but it was actually cumbersome, way easier to just use a shaver
This. Just use a clipper, don't fall for the zero-gaping meme, and everything is well and good even with a sensitive skin that gets razor burn from electric shavers.
>mogs the frick out of your homosexual electrics and troony gilettes while saving you money
That's too sharp and minimal safeties. I can easily cut with it.
I know you two just gave up after getting one cut on your lil' babyfaces.
I've done it both ways I wet shaved until I was in my 30's even going so far as to buy a feather blades, a stropping belt and compound, have a guided sharpening set for sharpening my own straight razors (which I still use for kitchen knifes). But nothing beats the practicality of an electric when you have a life, kids, places to be. Wet shaving is for dandies and hipsters (same thing I know).
Girls love my baby face. I tell them I'm 20, when actually I'm in my mid 30s. Zoomer girls are just that dumb.
>Zoomer girls are just that dumb.
their entire world is made out of falsities what do expect from them
it's kind of shit. Wet shaving requires too much prep and after care to be practical. It's little more than a homosexual ritual at this point. Electric chads just shave in the car on the way to work don't even need a mirror or a towel. Have a date tonight and have 5 o'clock just shave again, no problem.
>DUDE YOU NEEEEEEED TO GET A HECKIN SAFETY RAZOR, ITS HOW SHAVING ENTHUSIASTS SHAVE, ITS SO SMOOOOTH DUDE YOU JUST DONT GET IT. YOU JUST NEED THE HECKIN PRE-SHAVE OINTMENT, SHAVE BUTTER, SHAVE BRUSH, POST-SHAVE CREAM, MOISTURIZING LOTION, AND THE SHAVE ENHANCING BUTTPLUG, YOU'LL NEVER GO BACK TO ELECTRIC AGAIN
>knowyourmeme filename
pathetic, you're a disgrace, even for /qa/ posters
Yeah, I left it there just to make people like you seethe
>implying you're not the one seething when you have to "defend" you shitpost
embarassing
I've got you on the ropes now lmfao, come on, keep replying to me KEK
>n-n-no u
Keep seething autistic boy
oof, just keeps going
come on, another one
oof, just keeps seething
come on, keep going
My preference too.
beat me to it.
Good for clean up behind my ears but my walmart knock off of gillette is what I prefer. I used barbasol razors for the last 3 years and switched back a month ago and I don’t know why I was fricking around. Let gillette and shart in the mart call me a bigot, at least their product fricking works.
Foil if your hair has a mostly consistent grain, rotary if you have a more chaotic grain. You kind of use them the same way small circular movements moving gradually against the grain.
Shaving is fricking boring. I just want it done while I brush my teeth or some shit.
Damn, this thread is fricking cringe, and full of people who care too much about their little ritual.
I use a rotary one for most of the week, it does the job, not perfectly, but acceptable. Then I spend some actual time cleaning up properly with a good razor on sundays.
/thread, there isn't anything more to say about this, and how the FRICK is this IST related?
Kys? Go to >>>IST next time or smth???
I swear, people who have strong opinions about mundane shit like this are no better than the homosexuals who religiously defend certain types of beer or whiskeys.
I just switch from rotary to foil, if you have an older model (+10 years) it might be a good idea to get a new one that will only need to be charged once a week or so.
I got myself a nice Panasonic that shaves very well. Took a bit to get used to shaving in vertical lines rather than the old rotary circles.
so foil works better for you?
Absolutely, less pressure required and overall less likely to end up with red inflamed skin on sensitive spots
Imagine making SHAVING of all things a hobby lmao. How empty does your life have to be for you to get to that point?
Might as well get a fancy nail care kit and give yourself a manicure next, ya fruity consoomer homosexuals
>picrel: a 20 (twenty) minute fricking tutorial on shaving with a meme razor
LMAO
I bought a safety razor
Slapped some cheap cream on my face, pushed the razor into my cheek, and pulled down.
Hair got removed.
Who the FRICK needs a 20min tutorial on this??????
>can't wait to buy the new safety razor and crop preserver ball deodorant from manscaped along with some DUDE wipes!
>Broooo totally GROOMING myself with all these new products!!! these shark razors really do just GLIDE right across my skin, and with my new Dr. Carvers Shave Butter its just an unbeatable combo, such a steal too since I wont have to buy new cartridges after this purchase!!!
I wonder, will you keep replying if I don't give you a (You)? Are you still gonna notice my post, and actually feel obliged to "reply" in the same fashion, almost like a pavlovian response?
This saved me from having a Onions beard.
I tried all kinds of shaving but my neck turned into a pimple mess so I started growing a beard until I discovered the Philips one Blade pro ,now instead of 40 pimples I get 2-4
even this fricks up my neck. i've tried fricking everything, might just grow a neckbeard tbh but i have hair going all the way down, it would look moronic
have you tried using face creams or moisturizers on your neck throughout the day? may help
this gets shilled in every shaving thread and I'm not sure if I understand
why would you get an electric shaver if you have to keep buying cartridges for it like a fricking gillette
Its fast and nice for the skin.
You have to buy a cartridge every 3-9 months depending on how hard your local water is. Even the Remington clone is going to suffer from that.
Its popular because its a very fast dry shave, but also the kind of dry shave that barely leave skin irritation. Its also a very fast wet shaver, and a amazing wet shaver if you live somewhere with completely soft water.
this really a new set of blades for my foil is shaver is $60 every other year for almost daily use.
for phillips "each replacement blade lasts up to 4 months (for best shaving experience. Based on 2 full shaves on face per week.)" so somewhere around 30 shaves for $12. Which would add up to be around $280 for the same timeframe. For that you could have gotten a top of the line electric and replacement blades.
What about for the body?
?
Its a fast shaver anon, not a closer shaver.
Its popular because a significant portion of the population have too soft stubble and too hard skin for a closer shave to leave no pimples or ingrown.
And it has a better wear cycle than the rollers and rotating heads.
If I want to do body hair, then a cheap 3 blade razor in the shower is the ideal.
Shaving is fricking stupid. "It grows back so I must cut it off", wash yourself you filthy slob
t.
>his nails don't get ground and filed down, tear and fall off naturally from every day activity
Take a shower bro
Shaving is gay. Just trim your beard, homosexuals.
>Shaving is gay. Just trim your beard, homosexuals.
This is you.
That thing on the right kinda scares me. I feel like it's gonna cut my skin if I used it. I don't even grow a lot of facial hair so I can stick to a razor. But if you grow a full beard and you want it shaved, I guess maybe the electric one could be more of a convenience? I think they're perfect for someone with a disability who has trouble guiding a razor safely across their face. Ultimately I think they are a dumb gimmick for the average man.
Trust me bro, if you ever actually develop a full face of hair, you'll know that an electric razor isn't just a "dumb gimmick".
fair enough. I grow such little hair that I can actually just use water and a 6 blade razor.
I can't use a razor without getting inflamed skin, so I never bother with a close shave. Had an old Phillips electric shaver, but decided to upgrade recently since even that irritates the area under the chin. Talked to a friend who works as a hairdresser in an expensive salon and uses trimmers and clippers daily. She told me that if I want a good quality beard trimmer, cheap brands like Phillips aren't great since they have shit blades that get dull easily.
So she recommended to browse stuff that Moser makes, and I eventually got picralated on sale. It's bretty good.
