    >pull-ups: 0

it's more about exhaustion, cheating and variety rather than structure and routine. it perfectly embodies the sadness that is Western culture.

sounds like they are better overall athletes and their muscles work better for multiple tasks than your moronic squat dead bench with same form, same thing every time,s ame straps, same wraps.

Any idiot can flail their arms and kick their legs, but all that does jack shit as far as producing results other than tiring yourself out and looking stupid

Done correctly its just circuit training with an endurance focus.
The problem is the cult culture and the massive membership fee for a box gym with cheap bumpers, basic barbells and racks, and mostly just space. Most gyms are over $150 a month to get whenever access. Even the best bodybuilding/powerlifting gyms with better equipment, more space, and open access don't come close to crossfit's pricing.

You're adding an extra zero on a gym membership fee for 1000% enthusiasm for 50% of the gains, at best.
    >b...but CrossFit athletes
Dumb comparison by CrossFit morons. That's like lifting at atlas stone a couple times a month and pretending you're Brian Shaw. World class athletes are world class athletes. They have nothing to do with what you, personally, are going to accomplish at your gym.

Uncontrolled reps using momentum don't build any significant strength that could transfer to other sports or physically taxing activities.
Circuits of several max effort exercises makes you burn out very quickly and it isn't sustainable for the general population.
It claims to build functional strength but all it does is make you mediocre at everything.
The people that look fit from doing this not only had expensive training in a real sport or training method, they are also competitors in the sports and there's literally no testing done for crossfit so everyone is on steroids.
You can find info on how to build all around athletism for free on israelitechud and you'll most likely build a better program than crossfit.
    Overpriced gym memberships.

I don't understand the hate either, it's just not the same sport as PL.
Different goals, different method. Try to be good at everything does make you mediocre at everything. Indeed, any half decent PL will beat a crossfitter in pure PL, but they will beat the PL in everything else. Same for many other sports, running, rowing, gym, strongman, WL, ...

I'm an old gay and could be competing on state/national (master) level in multiple sports if i'd bother to enter. But not PL. I suck at PL. 1/3/3.5 plates at 48.

Nope. Crossfitter cheat to do more work. But they would be much better off training with a proper form and cheating only during the competition. Many of them kill their heart training at maximum heart rates. They would be better off training in zone 2 or 3 and reachibg maximum heart rate only during competitions.
It's a moronic competition couple with even more reatarded training for that competition.

I'm considering doing crossfit to meet girls because it's apparently more socially acceptable to do so in crossfit than the normal gym. How do I not immediately ridicule all the weirdos doing fake exercises around me

crossfit is an eugenics program hidden as a fitness regiment
    >constantly overtrained
    >not a single frick given about proper form
    >peer pressure built in every class to push yourself
it either produces skinnyfat dropouts or highlights genetic freaks

Well number one is because I dont like it. But then secondly I generally do not like things that other people are fanatic about. Crossfit is one of those things that people make it their entire personality based on, kinda like climbing or being a vegan etc.

Its also a derivative of other sports. Thats another thing I dont like. Another example is Pickleball. Its so fricking stupid you "copy" another sport and just change little bit of rules, court size etc. and now its another sport. No, pickeball is fricking moronic, just play tennis. There is no "reason" for crossfit to exist. Just train like a normal person or do oly lifting.

The idea of crossfit it too vague. In natural bodybuilding, powerlifting and weightlifting it's well defined where do you aim.

    they're psychotic,
and you're basically required to use steroids to keep up wiht their insane programming

$250/month for some moron to tell you to do excessive volume with absolute shit form.
I can do that myself, at home, for free.

    >doing highly complex and technical moves with heavy weight for max reps is dumb
    >wod style of "training" is dumb
    >measure everything in max reps no matter the form is dumb
    >paying 1000s of dollars just for some guy who did a single 1 week crossfit course to train you is dumb
the only good crossift gym aren't even training crossfit style at all
the just teach you different lifts and calisthenics moves plus endurance training
at which point you can just join a gymnasitcs gym and go running the morning and you are better then 90% of these homosexuals
