If you think there is a bias in the methodology you should point that out instead of just crying "muh funding". Only CDG received funding. Thats less than 10% of the people that worked on it.
The only thing negative I have to say is it's fricking expensive to the point where you need to be high-income to even semi-regularly eat it. As long as ground beef is less than $10 a lb it'll never replace it, and turkey is my go-to healthier alternative anyway.

You cant look at studies and science to disprove the fake meat, because the fake meat is all based on the science and the studies. A bit of cherry picking, to be sure but you cannot attack them with nutirtional sciences.
I would concede to her that the science is there because politics have interfered with nutritionals cience. That we should look at toher areas of study like biology, zooology, chemistry and physics to draw conclusions about the best human diet. Fields of study like history, political science and even religon can be used to make comelling aruments. Logic should be woven in - great claims require great proof. That sort of thing.
I beleive that the most well rounded minds would have to conclude that real meat is an integral part of the optimal human diet, and that the track record of human "inventions" into nutrition and foods is abysmal.
Look at the history of choline and recommendations re folic acid for recent great examples of how wrong the science gets it wrong and needs to correct itslef. Does she knowt that the American Heart Association no longer (sonce 2015) cares about dietary choelsterol? educate her on the hsitory of margarine and fake butter sporeads and how about, even now, most nuturional science will agree that margarine is posion.

Finally, look into sources promting meat: Robb Wollf did a movie called "Sacred Cow" that debunks a lot of vegan propaganda generally and talks about how great cattle are for the human world and body.
