Farmer's Walks

There isn't a lot of space in my gym. Is the walking part necessary? Can I just stand there and hold the weight? I can't say it feels any different than when I have been able to do it walking

just do a 360 if you don’t have much space to walk, walking is important to work stabilizing muscles

Walking trains your balance and stabilizers
Just gyrate and thrust your hips to work the same muscles

you could just march in place
      farmer's march in place

Do calf raises and walk in a circle.

I fee like I am being trololol'd. What stabilizers are being worked and how are they not being worked by moving it seems the traps get the most work and that's just from holding up the weight so I fail to see how walking affects that

The stabilizers are to stabilize your balance. Now either walk or stand in place while gyrating to work them

Core and small muscles in your legs like abductors and abductors.

Honestly at least do calf raises. Can do with a single leg when you're strong enough, that will also work the core.

What about in the traps and arms? That is what I am trying to target I do these after heavy leg work

focus on what muscles you activate when you pick up something heavy and remain stationary vs when you walk a few steps holding it

You should try to hold the weight out away from your sides

I prefer lower weight + more time. I’ll walk with a 20 in one hand for 30-45 minutes and feel my back and core really worked with some shoulder worked too.

stand on both feet, lift one leg without moving anything else, fall down and eat shit because every single step and movement generally needs the whole torso to work in order to balance

    HI THERE

ARE FARMERS WALKS GOOD FOR CALVES???

Calves can't hold the weights, they have hooves for a start, but the main thing that prevents them doing them is that they're primarily quadrupedal.

What is the estimated probability that this reverse anorexic would accidentally tear a penis clean off while performing a handjob?

farmers isn't only for grip, it's also good for traps and hips and core stability in general but only if you walk with it

should I do farmer's walk on upper or lower body days?

Do it on rhe day you'd normally do deadlifts as part of a rotation, it's quite taxing on your recovery if you go heavy often

If you're just doing it for grip then just do behind the back holds. Farmers itself is a fairly suboptimal grip exercise, I'm really good at farmers but my grip isn't amazing. I'm just fast and can keep stable with the weight
