After a week or two it gets easier. Then you start to enjoy the feeling of hunger.
You may also become more confrontational

It's called intermittent fasting and it's a midway point to normal fasting.

I don't know why intermittent fasting appeals to so many people. Probably because "if I suffer I can reward myself later" type thinking

          >if I suffer I can reward myself later
How do I get my gf to stop thinking like this? It genuinely pisses me off when she's like "I can have this because I went to the gym" like you're "rewarding" yourself by negating all your efforts at the gym and actively sabotaging yourself? She's not fat, but the principle just pisses me off

    8 hour fasting window?

That is just a normal eating routine. That is just the time when a normal person eats.

You know, some people eat all day. They’ll eat a fourth meal at night and snacks between their meals.

Normal eating is good for people who eat so abnormally like this.

A week or two and you get used to it. Remember also that most people on fit dont even lift so disregard most of the posts.
Intermittent fasting has gotten me to the best shape of my life. I plan on doing this for the rest of my days. I still eat around 3000-3400kcal a day and maintain my weight at 90-93kg, I am 194cm. My eating window is between noon and 8pm. Ofc it goes without saying that you still have to avoid sugar as much as you can and keep lifting.

This might not be the fastest way to lose fat but imo it's the most sustainable. Count your calories still and find what works for you as in if you wanna drop/maintain/gain weight. You don't have to count calories your whole life, a month in and you have much more realistic estimation in your head than before counting.

Eating once a day is a normal eating behavior. Eating multiple meals a day is caused by sugar addiction. Fasting is when you stop eating for at least 3 days. Everything else is just normal, but you're too used to plenty of food within reach always.

Eating too much at the same time lowers bioavailability.

        Bioavailability of what?

From what I have gathered looking into this, your body can only digest so much protein at once, perhaps only 50g in one sitting. So if you are trying to gain muscle and consume a lot of protein, you need to eat protein in small portions through out the day.

But calories and micronutrients are not like that. You can eat 8,000 calories in one sitting and your body will digest all 8,000 calories. The same with vitamins too, up until the point where you are overdosing on the vitamins.

        Am I wrong?

Kek I ate breakfast at 11 am and lunch at 3 pm all of my neet life without ever thinking about it.
