    A fast this short should be quite manageable
    There really should be nothing to worry about with your refeed just eat minimally processed food and stay within the radius of a toilet
    Also have some electrolytes in case you get dizzy during your fast

    If you eat keto fasting is easy as pissing, i do one meal a day dryfasting and work hot asf labour in australia, this is something i tried but could never do when i just ate whatever i wanted before attempting a fast, i would always need to drink before midday it was just too hot and energy intensive, but now after eating only keto mainly just raw eggs the effects of the fast become apparent 3-4 hours in rather than 12 or so and the energy and awearness increase carrys me theough to mid day and a cig at break gets me the rest. fasting off of keto is not very nice at all in my opinion.

    What style of a fast and how regularly is the best for your health. I had been intermittent fasting by chance for months, did my first "real" fast a week ago (lasted 36 hours or so until I caved). I'm fasting again as I type this and I'm going to be at 24 hours in an hour.

    I tried to go for my first 48 hour fast a week ago. I caved at 36 hours because I had some crazy insomnia and my body felt very cold. I reccomend doing just a bit over 24hrs. maybe 26 hours. Also, I reccomend eating broccoli or bone broth to break it just a few bites or a solid bowl of broth. 26 hours good to get some autophagy, but also less tummy readjustment time. It's enough to just get over the hunger and get some bennies.

    Fasts longer than 24 hours have some pretty big downsides.
    One of them is heart palpitations around the 36-hour mark. This isn't even controversial, even people who advocate for fasting will admit it happens.
    Happened to me and felt like I was gonna die. Haven't really tried extended fasting ever since.

    Do 24-hour fasts with one small carb-free meal a day instead. Easier to get used to and just as effective.

    I do short fasts like this often. You don't have to do anything special unless you have other health problems. Try not to eat too much at first. You might not reach the toilet in time. It's much more important to take being lightheaded seriously. If that happens, watch the frick out. I literally broke my neck passing out earlier this year.

    Hello fastbros. Here's my metrics since September and I do absolutely nothing special for refeeds. Going to accomplish a two week fast in 2024 as part of my New Years resolution. Currently about 36 hours in on my last fast for the current year.

      Which app is that anon? Also math doesn't check out, 20 fasts for 2166 hours is 216 hours per fast but it says your longest is 161 hours

          Oh right yeah I divided it by 10 instead of 20 lol. So the average is actually 108 hours. That's pretty bonkers. Thanks for the reply.
