>Fasting is normal and healthy. Our ancestors did it constantly

>Also you need to supplement electrolytes every 2-3 hours when fasting
Do fastards ever explain how our ancestors were able to supplement electrolytes while supposedly going days without eating?

I'm sure they'll say something like mineral rich water or something like that and that we have it too clean now. I fasted for 3 days and only drank when I felt thirsty. I was fine. I also was drinking spring water which has a little bit of electrolytes in it.

Before the great flood humans lived for several hundred years on a all meat diet.

This is cool dude. You don't know me, but we're so far apart in worldview that I don't have a principled way to disagree with you. We wouldn't be at all convinced by the other's evidence. It's like we're living in parallel universes, except we can communicate through a computer. anyway, kowabunga dude

how do you know it was all meat? Cain was a farmer, and he was the third person ever. Unless you consider the story of Lilith to be true, but even then he is still the fourth person ever. How exactly would all the other pre-flood human forget how to farm?

yes and no. our ancestors were like 12 feet tall and all those tourist attaction buildigns that look huge were built by people with like 15 foot tall average. its how the pyramids were built.

idk man even at their peak nephlim weren't exactly common sights. the average person was certainly shorter, and 1 in 10,000 or whatever the ratio is wouldn't be enough to raise the average height much.

Y'all should actually try to live in a climate where prolonged fasting makes you catch a cold after 10 minutes outside. Immune functions tank, you have no energy to fight off pathogens, cold weakens you even further, boom, you're sick and dead.

Fasting is a suboptimal condition and having a stupid low body fat percentage (<20%) is as much of a health risk as wet feet.

ACTUAL fasting (in the Eastern Orthodox tradition) isn't starve-yourself-because-of-thinspo-thread competition. It's not eating particular groups of foods. We only abstain of all foods for 1-2 days during the entire period. We also eat tons of meat and fish to prepare the body to the fast.

Internet fasting is pants on head as usual.

that is what as known as a "diet", quite distinct from Jesus not eating anything at all for 40 days straight

        Anonymous

Diet is what one eat habitually. Fast, or lent, is when one abstains and limits oneself, for fixed periods of time, before returning to the usual diet.

IST body dysphoria kind of fasting has nothing to do with the real life definition of "fast".

Gluconeogenesis is the metabolic pathway through which glucose is synthesized from non-carbohydrate sources, such as amino acids, lactate, glycerol, and other carbon substrates. It occurs primarily in the liver, but also to a lesser extent in the kidneys.

  12. 6 months ago

We're talking about people who did it against their will. The majority didn't have electrolytes. The majority who "fastest" were hunter gatherers desperate for their next meal or starving peasants.

When they did do it on purpose, they had bone broth or dry fasting. Mostly dry fasting probably. You need electrolytes because you go around with your normal day and job. They did it for religious reasons and were allowed to sit in one place and meditate for days. Even the bible describes events where people dry fasted for days while they prayed to God and meditated. For fricks sake, people used to feed mercury to patients because they thought it was meditation. Our ancestors are not a shining example of how to live healthy. Our bodies adapted to starving as hunter gatherers. The current world of decadence is why it is important to fast for the health benefits.
