Been loving the slow cooker recently.
Slap a big chunk of meat in there with a cube of stock, seasoning, spices and condiments. Let it cook overnight and by the morning you have heaps of tender flavourful meat to chuck into anything, rice, pasta, sandwiches etc.
Did this with a big pork shoulder tonight

Brown ground beef or pork from local butcher. Add salt while still raw if you like salt or taco seasoning. You can do it in a pot so you can brown a few pounds and save the rest. Grate some cheese and eat. Very simple, can make multiple batches and it tastes good cold. If you accidently over cook it you can just add a spoon of sour cream for more moisture. Very easy to eat quickly, very easy on the stomach (unless cheese is not agreeable with you, in which case add something else or just skip the cheese altogether)
