Keep your eyes on the prize. People who spin their wheels only see fat gain when they bulk and muscle loss when they cut.

what i did was 1) eat more 2) do resistance training like at least once a week. year of that and i'm now 14kg heavier and fat% stayed roughly the same. i still look like skinny-fat tho

Train for at least 5 years (if natty) and then cut to 12%.

    >lift weights until you see muscle
    >then lift until you see a lot of muscle
    >then lift until you think if you lost most of your size and muscle you'd still look good if you cut most of the fat
    >cut
seriously you will lost so much of the size you think is "muscle mass" because its really just a layer of fat around the muscle. once that fat is gone your muscles look tiny and you'll look like a somewhat cut DYEL

wrong, muscle = strength, look at your overhead press or deadlift before and after a cut and if you are weaker you have lost muscle.

      This is pretty good tbh.
I would up the proteins way higher tho, I have pretty much doubled my protein intake and have started to see PRs and gains again. Just newbie gains will stop quick if you dont have enough proteins

Its a testosterone problem, stop ingesting the plastic (shampoo, sapoon, detergent, polyester and the like) and lift.

I am not talking shit and your inferiprity complex is fricking annoying. What i said is plain truth just like what I am about tp say now: testosterone levels are determined by nurture, stop eating the fricking plastic and lift wnd your T will be skyhigh. I went bald because my hair had gotten so long that if stretched while keeping my chin up it would reach under my nipples, I regrow a full head of hair in about a month

This. After years of on/off lifting and bulking and basically being forever skinny fat, I’m currently doing exactly this and the results are better than anything I’ve done over almost a decade.

you can expect between 20-60 lbs of lean mass to be obtained naturally throughout your entire lifting career. This guy gained that in 2.5 years.

He is either a genetic freak or on steroids, either one of these means he's not a hardgainer like he's trying to convince you he is.

Shut up b***hes, if I'd show you my 8 months progress from skinny fat you'd call me a roider. The secret is to lift heavy and eat protein.

He showed my the way. I was simply weak as frick so i started weights and cardio while eating at maintenance with a focus on protein. Belly fat is a b***h to loose but it's noticable 3 months in.

For anyone else this weight is healthy looking. Skinny fat is the worst elo to be in and hardest to escape

decrease calories, increase protein, lift weights. fixed. absolutely do no bulk.

    DO. NOT. BULK.
You must earn a bulk, you been a lazy frick for a while now, you don't have that right.
So clean you diet, clean you room for the love of God, go gym, sleep. Oh and don't you dare think about a 'cheat day' of eating, you been cheating a lot naughty boy.

  17. 3 months ago

actually lift weights instead of just dieting. that's all you gotta do.

to fix skinny fat you have to bulk a LITTLE bit to get some muscle on you. you keep up the hard work while you're dieting, and your muscle is spared and your fat stores frick off. you get leaner as a result of being the same bodyweight you started at but made up differently.

I'm still not out of it completely. But DO NOT fricking bulk, Jesus Christ. You need to cut and work hard, skinnyfat means you have like no muscle and a decent amount of fat. Just eat at maintenence/cut and you will gain muscle and lose fat. The fat you have will look way leaner when you have muscle. If you have no muscle at all, you'll look fat at any bodyfat% besides holocaust mode

        >People with no muscle who "cut" end up wasting away to nothing
No. They lose the fat. They just had frick all muscle in the beginning. You won't look good after just a cut or just a bulk. You need BOTH.
        >b-but I want to look good in 6 months
you won't, not after a lifetime of neglect. It takes years.

ffs the morons on this board.

They lose everything. They just cut and cut until there's nothing less.
Why are you acting like I don't understand the simplest idea in the world? The problem is they end up worse than if they hadn't cut.

      >Just eat at maintenence/cut and you will gain muscle
      No you won't.
      >lose fat
      yes.

I cut first before bulking to make sure I could actually lose weight but the only times my lifts have gone up appreciably and my lean body mass has increased has been during bulking phases.

If you're skinnyfat you will need to cut (to stop being fat) and bulk (to stop being skinny). The order doesn't really matter much because you'll be alternating them anyway.

When you bulk you actually have to train very hard and really push yourself. Most people bulk but they keep half arseing their workouts, doing the exact same 3 sets of 10 all the time and barely adding any weight
Keep your goal in mind too - you're bulking to try and get buff. Lots of people seem to think the goal is to get fat, so they eat a bunch of shit food and stop doing cardio
Bulking is good but only if you do it right
