Maybe because it's not a core exercise

    I like these more.
One of them actually targets hips, the other one actually stretches the back muscles

For some reason whenever I finish a hard set of hyprextensions I feel like I just fricked my back up, but the discomfort goes away completely within 10-15 minutes.

why not just do supermans? how this is better?

its a terrible exercise that was popularized by moronic PTs that know nothing about exercising. The Superman exercise creates nearly 6000 N of compression. It's not good for rehab.
And for a healthy person without back pain doing squats or deadlifts is more beneficial.

Stretching saves my back. I had muscular problems and even grew up with scoliosis. If anything OPs pic would make my back tighter without stretches.
