flexibility

Hello fitizens ○_○/
I know you guys just care about "natty" gains but do you have any nice tips on increasing flexibility for a beginner? Have always been kind of stiff and would like to be able to move my body better.

I need help with this too. My doctor even joked that I have the flexibility of a crowbar.

    > full range of motion when doing exercises (might set you back a few kilos if you haven't done this properly before)
    > stretching

no general advice, but every night I do a little mobility movement (high knees, spiraling my back back and forth, rolling my shoulders etc) and try to touch my toes for a minute or two with straight legs, feet together, straight legs, feet a little apart, then straight legs, feet far apart.
It has helped my back, hip, and leg movement a bit.

Train through a full range of motion on all of your exercises. Stretch the hard-to get areas (gracilis etc)
    >t. can nearly do front splits, barely ever stretch

4 sets of 30 second static stretching per muscle per day. Anymore will have diminishing returns. This will get you anywhere you want to get.

I've heard of this before, but how much would you do if you can't stretch daily? My hamstrings get absurdly sore for ages after hitting legs for example so my ROM is very limited

You have to do stretches if you do sprints or any sort of track and field. It also helps with soreness.
