Floor press is a great bench accessory movement. Focuses on the top 2/3 of the movement which helps tricep / front delt development and for any osy with a sticking point that isn't ofd the chest.
Next time you bench lie down with your head hanging off the end of the bench. Keep your feet where they are and move your upper body down to being eye level with the bar. It loads you and helps put you in position to use leg drive. Think of a cobra coiling up before he strikes.
>builds juicy chest and triceps without fricking up your joints >increases your bench anyway because it's everyone's sticking point >confuses the DYEL >makes the ROMtard seethe
Floor press is king.
I do regular bench and just do floor presses with dumbbells. Seems like the chance to frick yourself up with heavy dumbbells is greater than with a bar, but what do I know.
Just bought a $600 (Australian dollar) bench as an impulse purchase with the specific intent to use it with the adjustable dumbbells my partner is getting me for Christmas. I am an absolute novice with anything other than calisthenics and a kettlebell. I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction for a good routine. The dumbbells go between 7kgs and 40kgs.
this doesn't do anything
It does everything.
it literally does half of what a bench press would do according to your picture.
How about you go frick yourself.
how about you go lift real fricking weights and stop trying to skirt real effort by doing meme exercises
Why don't you go home and get your fricking lifting belt.
why don't you make me, sexy

If you've only ever done pressing on a bench, try Floor Press just 1 day and you'll realize how much you use your leg drive in the Bench.
I literally lack the mind-muscle connection to do leg drive with my bench so no I don’t think I will realize anything.

Can just larsen press without the moronic ROM restriction of floor press...
dumbest shit I've ever seen
Dude if you want to bench with 1/2 ROM just do it. No one's going to judge you for not touching your chest on every rep in the real world.

I'm going to have to do this instead of bench if I snap my pec again
You lose the ability to put your arms back which really gets the chest flexed out before you press. So it's shit. Half bench rom
Lots of people really insulting the bench press these past few years.
That dude that looks like Shang Tsung started it all.
You're all going to Hell.
Been doing this lately. Dont hate it, dont love it. Decent variation i guess

why? I do floor presses warming up with dumbbells and have no problems with it. I actually do them on boxes since I'm a lazy ass tho.

Nothing hits the serratus like the floor press. Mine will cramp hard afterwards.
