She isn't really that fat, her fat just goes to her arms. Women with real boobs tend to be fatter in the arm area.

It's super-cheesy, but it really works: you have to do it because you love yourself, not because you hate how you look.

Treat yourself how you would treat your children. They don't want to eat their vegetables, or brush their teeth, or go to bed early. But you make them do it. Because you hate them? No, because you love them and care about them.

Well, direct the same love and care towards yourself. It's hard sometimes, but if you focus your motivation on your love for yourself, rather than how much you hate what you see in the mirror, you'll get there.

How do I learn to love myself

        Need help with this too.
I'm an incel and I know probably the only thing holding me back is my fat. I'm not obese technically, but overweight enough that no women would ever sexually fantasize about me. I've had moments where I've been really motivated to get my shit together, but I lose interest every time. Whether it's exercise or diet, I can't hold discipline.

This sounds helpful, but I hate myself and always have

Not a plug, but I got the Headspace app (meditation app). The paid version ($70/yr) includes a lot of courses, including self-esteem, which was really helpful.

Individual therapy is probably better, but I'm cheap and taking the anxiety and self-esteem courses on Headspace were really effective.

If you have that in place and value yourself as something worth taking care of, the consistency to maintain a healthy diet and exercise falls into place. And part of it is an exciting curiosity, too. Who knows what you'll look like when you've lost weight. Only one way to know for sure.

Easier to say when you realize that your personality is great but no woman is interested in you because of the way you look. I don't even think I look THAT bad currently but if I get into that mode I just start attracting gay guys.

I know we all get pulled into this type of thinking, but your self-worth isn't determined by how you think you look or how others think you look, its really not.

Counterpoint (non-cynical version): well why wouldn't you? That should be your default state.

Counterpoint (cynical version): well you're stuck with yourself either way, so figure it out.

Eat below mainence walk 10k steps every day as fast as you can. when you stop losing walk 12k then 15k. Dont worry about lifting until you're not a fat ass. cutting more than 10-20 pounds while trying to preserve muscle is a b***h

    >Drink water only, if you drink tea or coffee then stop adding sugar.
    >Chew your meals 20-30 times and chew your nuts 35-40 times.
    >Exercise - start small like taking a walk or some basic stretching.
Most importantly, you must hate yourself beyond belief in order to get shit done.I hated myself so much that I finally started to get shit done.I lost 25kgs in a year (93 to 68). Even though I still look and feel like shit , atleast I don't have the excuse that I am fat.

You need to be motivated. I did it because I wanted to be strong. Not to lose weight. Lost weight regardless. The best part about exercise is that one you get passed beginner steps, it just feels good.

what motivated me to start getting fit at the very least was having something to fight for.
in my case, it's making sure that i'm as good as my gf likes to butter me up to be

this unironically. when I lost a ton of weight it was primarily because I didn't keep any food around. probably doesn't work if you aren't avoidant but if you get social anxiety from ordering a pizza it works extremely well.

That's how I lost weight too. Can't eat it if it isn't in the house. Sometimes I'd fail and buy some snacks but there was nothing to do but to start fresh again the next day.
I also got an electric bike since I hate biking up hills. I've clocked 10.000km on my ebike compared to my normal bike I maybe used once a month.

If you live alone, losing weight is easy. All you have to do is just not buy snacks when you go buy food. Have a plan for exactly what food you're going to buy when you go shopping, buy exactly that, and no more. Without excess snacks in your home, you can't snack. You don't have to try to avoid temptation all day when you're at home, you only have to avoid temptation during the shopping trips. Cutting down on snacks drops the amount of calories you consume by a huge amount, and will lead to a ton of weight loss by itself.

For getting fit, I have no fricking clue. I've gotten into countless physical activities, maintained them for several months, and then dropped them. Getting a healthy exercise habit that lasts years is beyond me.

I ate nothing but pasture-raised meat, eggs, and low-carb vegetables. I lost all my excess fat.

It will suck for the first few weeks though. Once you get through that, you’ll feel better than ever.

I made a list of things I would like to do every day and if I do them I give myself a gold star.
If I finish a week of gold stars then I let myself open an Amazon package that I ordered.

being fat feels worse, not just physically, but also socially. pretty privilege is real, and fat people are not pretty.
being strict on your diet and regularly working out sucks, but it sucks less than being unfit

I'm still trying to figure it out. I have all the motivation in the world and I recently gained even more motivation from being exposed to people's alut stories but I still can't do it. I guess I'm destined to be alone forever.

No alcohol, no weed, no snacks, no take-out, no frozen pre-made food. Cook all your meals, eat simpler. For example:
Breakfast: cottage cheese, a banana and a multi vitamin.
    Lunch: grilled chicken and salad
    Dinner: home made turkey burritos
Free food at work? Skip it. Family has you over and orders a pizza, ok fine have ONE slice and blot off the grease. No cheat days either until you reach your goal.

I have ADD and there's no way in hell I'm going to be able to cook all my meals. I'm sure next you're gonna tell me that calorie counting is bullshit and that if I don't spring for organic ingredients I might as well stuff a whole pizza in my face.

        Just shop at Aldi.

Don't make it a goal. Goals are met and moved along. Make it a lifestyle choice with the idea that staying fat = death.

Can't comment about the appetite (former skinnyfat here), but I didn't need to cultivate any discipline once I decided that I wanted to look a bit better. Focus on that aspect and not on the grind itself.
