I once ran through a forest around the end of the day. I was so focused on my running I forgot to look around, and I didnt even see the deer standing 5 meters away from me until it saw me and started moving.
I was surrounded by hogs last night cycling to the gym.

I’ve run into boar a few times, one time it didn’t notice me until I literally pumped into if. Lucky it didn’t maim or murder me. Snakes from time to time as well.

I used to raise eastern box turtles when I was a kid. My dad had to release about a dozen of them because he lost his house. When I can afford property of my own I'm going to make a new outdoor enclosure.
I can never find these guys. Never seen a wild one but for my entire life since I was a little kid I’ve dreamed of finding one. Used to want to keep them as pets. I don’t wanna do that but I would love to find one just for the sake of taking a picture and accomplishing that. It would be cool if I had wild ones in my back yard so they weren’t a pet I had to care for but could see them often. Too bad they return to their home if you move them.

last time i went on a hike, towards the end it was getting kinda dark, i had about two miles to cover, most of which was via this farmers track, big trees on either side. all quiet until i spooked what i think was some kind of big owl, it flew absolutely silently, was very pale and kept close to the ground as it flew away. kinda spooked me too.
