Take the kayak pill
i go kayaking two hours every morning
nice. you got beefy shoulders or what? post shoulder.
>not dinghy rowing

Kayak is fun but it sounds like a hassle and expensive. It's something I'd do now and then but to get fit on it is out of my league.
Therse nothing expensive about it besides the upfront cost of buying a kayak, a lifejacket, and a paddle. Its not like scuba diving where you need tons of gear.
The hassle would be storing it somewhere and transporting it to the water. If you dont live near water then I guess youre Shit Out of Luck.
i live in a 3rd world shithole so the water near me is full of garbage and poo
I bought an inflatable on Amazon for $85. It weighs 40lbs and I can keep it in the back of my car. I'll car camp after a night of dancing and go kayaking in the morning. Stupid easy, fun, good exercise, and I'm in nature. I've gone almost every week I've owned the thing. Stop making excuses and get out there.
you need to do it every day.
post body, shoulders specifically.
today was the first time i kayaked actually but my shoulders where working the whole time like i was doing a bunch of lateral raises.
Your core and lats should be the ones working, paddle technique for kayaking/canoeing is not unlike rowing
I felt my lats, core, triceps and shoulder. Kind of depended on how I sat and the angle of the paddle.
>does something once
>starts waxing lyrical about how good it is
lmao get fricked you nonce
Look Its a fit approved sport. The guy I rented the kayak from said his shoulders got big too. Look at olympic kayaking next time. All huge, boulder shoulders.
you could also look at bodybuilders, all have huge shoulders and train shoulders! coincidence?
no its not a coincidence, they kayak too in their free time.
>"what is stimulus novelty?"
Kayaking seems fun under the right circumstances. I live on the ocean but even here it's like, wow I'm kayaking in a straight line then I'll turn around again, woopdee fricking doo. Plus there's actual sewage in ocean water near cities
yea i get that and thats how i felt too. it could be good on certain locations to sight see but i also had the idea that it would be more fun going down a river. that way its like a race course, i go out and do different ones.
Yeah let me just drive to the sea and go for a kayaking trip at the end of every workout instead of doing lu raises for 5 minutes.
>not living near the sea already

>do bent over rows

Shiggy Diggy
yeah ive been kayaking in some natural wonders but i allways feel deezy as shit so i get fricked anyway
what natural wonders?
mount everest, aurora borealis
you didnt go kayaking in mt everest you liar.
Paddleboard is superior. You have to balance and it works your core also. Yeah you look stupid but you probably look stupid by default so it doesn't really matter.
I'm a competitive OOC6 paddler and I can tell OP that anyone who actually races hits the gym multiple times a week. Paddling is great for endurance but unless you're using vastly different weighing boats often (which does happen for certain outrigger races) you're not going to be exposing yourself to any kind of progressive overload so you NEED to lift in order to complement your racing ability.
