Personal hot take: nothing wrong with going the hypertrophy route AFTER attaining solid baseline strength. If you can deadlift 405+ but choose not to, fine. If you'd struggle to deadlift 225 and are swearing that 10 lb DB RDL's are superior and safer...idk man.

conventional deadlift isn't the only exercise to build pulling strength, it's not even the most biomechanically efficient deadlift variation, it's used as a goto strength building exercise mostly because it's a competition lift. you can build strength with a trap bar, romanian, SL, etc. deadlift too
Where did this cns fatigue wave of rumors come from, does anyone know anybody who actually got that shit, Im inclined to believe it's a healthline.com psyop
What do you think it is when your lifts suddenly not only stall but get worse and you feel like you're getting the flu? Why do you think many programs are only run x weeks before a deload is advised?
What you have experienced is spinal nerve compression due to weak structures, muscles and bad form. People get all kinds of weird symptoms, like runny nose, constipation, depression even. Once you develop enough neurological adaption and you learn how to reset your spine those symptoms go away. It's not CNS fatigue. You are not getting CNS fatigue when you lift less than 300 lbs. >Why do you think many programs are only run x weeks before a deload is advised?
because they are beginner programs that compete with each other by promising quicker results. They are not sustainable.

Every natty powerlifter has it. Chance are you do too. That schizophrenia coming on isn't you opening your 3rd eye because of carnivore pineal glad decalcification. It's CNS fatigue.

You only get the benefit of RDLs with a snatch grip and from a deficit, and believe it or not you do still need to go heavy on them
Doing 80kg for 3x8 is still frick all whether it's an RDL or not
Lmao I just turned 39, deadlift over 6 plates, and work a 50 hour blue collar week without your so-called CNS fatigue
It would appear you're just a homosexual
>THIS MOVEMENT ISNT OPTIMAL IM SO FRAGILE AND DELICATE THAT LETTING MY BACK BEND ONE DEGREE OUT OF NEUTRAL WILL PUT ME IN THE HOSPITAL AAAAAAIIIEEEEEEEE
>deadlifts
>hypertrophy
i think you might be on the spectrum
a strong back might give you a hyper trophy wife
And what does this woman want in exchange for giving me those things?
They're both deadlifts
>destroying CNS
If you're a weak little b***h just say that
this always feels like a forearm/grip exercise to me. good mornings are still the best hinge movement

Most Mr.Olympias did deadlifts with Ronnie doing 800x2 at one point I believe. It must add something to hypertrophy.
Ronnie was doing powerlifting for fun and fricked his back irreversibly
Most also admit they're just doing them because they are fun and a good measure of strength
Yes there is something to it: moving big weights is fun as frick

You should NEVER be doing more than like 2 sets of maybe 1 to 3 reps for strength purposes.
another homosexual ass post. Man FRICK this entire message board.
I did DLs for two weeks and my CNS is totally destroyed. I can't even move anymore.
