Glasses in the Gym?

Started working out at the gym nearby recently but have noticed that wearing glasses while working out is horrible. I'd rather put a .44 in my eye socket before some contacts though. Anyone wear glasses at the gym or have some advice for that?

why? what’s so bad about contacts?
if it’s really that annoying then buy those sports glasses or whatever their called, they look dumb but who cares. Also is your eyesight so bad that not wearing any glasses will hinder you?

the worse thing about glasses is if you get sweat on them. Why not just take your glasses of? I have terrible vision but I dont really need good vision to lift

I wear mine and they defy gravity just fine. Don't see a problem

I wonder why is it all my mates sweat so much their hair is wet meanwhile I'm completely dry besides my armpits and my calves being wet

I don't have any problem working out with glasses. Do you have a pair that fit well? Does your pair have those little nub arms to touch your nose? If so get rid of them for a solid plastic pair. Or consider prescription runner/sports glasses

PRK is better. I asked opthalmology professor in medschool what would she have done on herself and she said PRK. True story.

I wear contacts, you don't feel anything, only when you put them on, but that's it, and it's not even horrible or painful. Better than using glasses and have them falling off all the time because of the sweat

I didn't wear mine at the gym. Didn't want to look like a fag or damage them. Now I got lasic and don't need them anymore

The only time I take off my glasses is when going to sleep. Are they falling off your face? Go to an optometrist in a shopping centre and get them to round the back of each side so they tuck behind your ear. I don't even notice mine.

I wear glasses in a gym. The only issues I've had was when I was boxing, in fact I quit it because I can't see shit. What seems to be the problem?

dude, you should seriously reconsider contacts. I have pretty high myopia and would wear pretty thick lensed glasses all my life. Decided to start using contacts this year after getting fed up with the comments I'd received from people saying they look bad (26 years old btw). And it's really been a positive impact on my quality of life. Not only is working out more comfortable but I can also wear cool sunglasses without being blind, I've noticed more attention from girls and my confidence has gone up. You srsly try them.

had the exact same thing happen to me, same age btw. I tried contacts once and got frustrated and gave up, but after a week of trying everyday it was totally fucken worth it

I can't bother with contacts at all. I'm too afraid of infection or my cornea getting scratched. Laser also scares the shit out of me because I don't like shit near my eyes like sharp objects used to open the cornea of your eyes.

Dude, use proper hygiene and wash your hands. If you drop them, that's what the liquid solution is for. There are people that start using them in their pre-teens and you don't see them wearing eye patches.

I already do that ya garden gnome. What I'm saying is that I'm too afraid to have that shit near my eyes and risk an infection even if its in liquid solution

Then you're gonna have to come to terms and buy some prescription sports glasses or something. Really I would recommend you give contacts a try. The first week might be rough. Any responsible optician will not sell you the contacts before they are sure you know how to put them and remove them correctly. Usually they'll have you practice putting them on and removing them under supervision, might be a pain in the ass but for a khv like me it was worth it.

I wear them in the gym, they get covered in sweat which isn't great.

Buy a sport band, get contacts, get lasik, or workout blind. I typically wear glasses when I sit in front of the computer at home or at work, but I switch to contacts if I'm doing anything active. And I recommend daily disposables because cleaning contacts properly is a pain in the ass.

    Wear contact man
It took me a week to be able to put them easily, but it's life changer
The only down is my eyes get more tired, and removing them and scratching my eyes feel like an orgasm

I got contacts now but I would just take mine off and only put them back on if I had to look at my phone or go to a different part of the gym. It's both a pro and a con when gym thots become blurs of Grey or neon when you have bad vision

Doesn't work if you are blind enough. But I don't get why you can't just keep them on unless you are doing something like a contact sport. They shouldn't really move if they fit right.

Simply do not understand this mentality. My contacts cost me a tenner a month and it means I don't have to wear incel scaffolding on my face.

I don't get people who wear them awful rectangle perscription glasses, just because it's for your eyesight doesn't mean you have to look like a complete dork. Both my exes needed glasses but they wore aviator style prescriptions, which I now have a thing for. Git gud bro.
