>go on a cut. >immediately lose any motivation to lift

>go on a cut
>immediately lose any motivation to lift

I just can’t get myself to spend time commuting to the gym and lifting heavy shit knowing i’m not actually getting stronger.
How do I avoid this? I legit want to cry when I think about going now, even though I was super motivated and excited to go when bulking.

yeah, i’m an incel so when I lift I not only lift the physical weight of the barbell and plates, but also the weight of the mental pain caused by everything I missed out on because women aren’t attracted to me.

You have to undo however many years of wrongly subscribing to powershitting and strength meme. Youre not gonna be as strong, but thats okay because no one actually gives a frick how many "numbers" you can "push" on x meme lift. Being lean looks much better and is actually much more impressive than doing absurd amount of weight on lifts that have little transfer to real life situations. You might actually end up looking better too.

But if you still dont know, just think about conserving strength. IF you cut and dont work out, youre gonna lose a lot more strength and muscle then if you did.

It sounds liek you dont even know what youre cutting for though so youre going to relapse any day now and convince yourself peak humanity is squatting 2 plates and consolidating all your sick gains with a large pizza to build le ebin power!!

This is how I look as a subhuman trying to “maingain”, i’m not even going to say how long i’ve been lifting because it’s embarrassing but that’s what I get for being afraid to get fat. This pic is from last summer when I was lean. I bulked too hard and gained way too much fat so I have to go on another cut and bulk properly next time.

I'm going 6 days a week on a 1.75-2kcal OMAD at 6'3. Your lifts drop but who cares, just show up. I am a morning meal shill because of my schedule I can work out by noon , be productive while calories last and be lazy reading on my gfs thighs at night w/ 9pm bed time. Try changing your schedule around.

Is it normal for lifts to drop? I am scared how fast they’re dropping even though I barely started cutting but maybe it’s because the loss of motivation.

Absolutely normal. Go figure right. But every time you go to the gym and push you'll actually get mad doms (I stopped getting them when normally working out) which is super satisfying and you can make that mental connection of sore = score in terms of fat loss. Just take your vitamins and electrolytes and don't jerk off.

Yes, especially upperbody lifts tend to respond poorly to cutting weight. Why does matter though if your bench goes down a few kilos

Does that mean i’m losing muscle though or just loss of energy from lack of food? Because for example my lat pull down went down 5kg and i’m doing less reps too and I still have 5 or 6 more kg to cut.

one thing that helped me not lose as much strength when cutting is downing 1l skim milk before the gym

    no joke

Will take that into consideration, thanks.

Maybe you should also seek mental help, ever thought about that?

What’s the fricking point? I’m already turning 23 next month. Women will pay for this.

You get motivation on a cut by looking better and "look bigger" because your muscles pop more.

If that's not motivating for you then go on a permabulk and become a fat powerlifting lardass.

Focus on bodyweight movements, dips and chin ups. Do variation of the big movements you have neglected, could be front squat or high bar squats. Do technical DL work like paused DLs

You don't you just switch to maintence volume with closer proximity to failure.
You'll only be going to gym about half the time you normally would.

Smoke half to settle stomach / have other half after workout when you get home n relax or save it until you crave food again. I personally only smoke when I'm cutting or boozing.

Should you take creatine on a cut? I'm 3 weeks into a cut and continue using creatine, my strength hasn't dropped at all, my recovery is decent and I've prob lost 5-6lbs of fat. Are there any downsides?

No down side. Keep taking it.

It does increase water weight but its intramuscular. So if you stopped taking it you'd weigh less but your muscles would look less full so that would be dumb, like losing muscle to lose weight, the goal isnt to become skinny fat. It's also muscle-sparing i've heard so you will keep more muscle during your cut. Literally no good reason to stop taking it.

This is why you suicide cut. The advice to take it slow is literally a facebook mom tier bait. Yes it's the politically correct cookie cutter answer and people who have trouble with normie weight loss will just bounce back but if you are serious about this, then extreme diet is way better.

You are going to lose muscle anyways. Your lifts are gonna stall or go down. Thats just inevitable. Now if you take it slow you can make that last for 6 months and make no gains for 6 months or you could suicide cut for 2 months and get it over with. Yes you will lose marginally more muscle and strength when suicide cutting but thanks to muscle memory the amount you lose, you literally pick back up in matter of like 3 weeks. Or 4 weeks whatever, so the total is 2 months + 1 month = 3 months. You saved 50% of the time compared to cutting slowly for 6 months and trying to hold up to your gains which you still lost btw but its not a big deal again thanks to muscle memory.

Obviously you cant resort to eating +5000kcal a day after your suicide cut, that's when it doesnt work. You switch to maintenance / ever so slight 50-100kcal surplus and then start building up from low bodyfat.

Who the hell cuts for 6 months? And is 2 months really a "suicide cut" time frame? That seems like a pretty standard timeframe to sustainably lose 1-2 pounds a week
