good advice for new years noobs thread
oldgay here, with so much misinformation around lets give the noobs some advice.
first off WORKOUTS
>to lose bellyfat make sure to do crunches, situps grind your spine and cause injuries, besides crunches are easier so they are better
>to get TONED do bodyweight exercises such as pushups and crunches, planks
>if you dont want to get too BIG, don't lift weights they're just for bodybuilders
>cardio burns more fat and combine it with body exercises to build muscle to get the best toning effects, i suggest walking on the treadmill at a BRISK pace for 15 minutes after every workout, this puts you in fat burning mode
>one of my favourite exercises to burn lovehandles off: dumbbell side bends
DIET and HEALTH
>studies show that meat and milk products contribute to heart disease and cancer, avoid eggs especially as they raise bad cholesterol (CLOGS YOUR ARTERIES!)
>ALWAYS cook in heart-healthy VEGETABLE OILS (such as canola, basedbean oil, etc.), ESPECIALLY if you are plus-size/big boned body.
>the best and highest protein foods are probably Tofu, basedmilk, and beans (GO FRICKING VEGAN!) the average sized person needs around 60G of protein on a day.
>DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST OR FAST, if you stop eating, you will go into starvation mode and your body will store twice as much fat as it did when you start eating again (ACTUALLY YOU SHOULD EAT EVERY 2 HOURS TO KEEP YOUR METABOLISM UP!)
>DO NOT USE STEROIDS SUCH AS CREATINE OR WHEY POWDER, creatine raises DHT (a hormone that causes balding), and whey powder gets you too big. if you hear people talking about creatine you should probably report them to the gym staff, or even call the police.
>the best way to recover from your workouts is to sleep, most people do best on around 6 hours of sleep a night, dont drink too much coffee!
