When I work out I start to heavily contemplate my life and what my existence means. I think of how all the horrible, sinful things I’ve done, and how at the end of the day, I want my life to mean something. I want to help people and make their lives better. That’s why I’m in school to be a fire fighter. I don’t want my existence to revolve around a 9-5 job. I want to make my life mean something and make a positive difference so I can make God proud of me. I unironically believe God talks to me when I feel this way, because I feel absolutely awful about how the bad shit I’ve done. Sometimes I even start tearing up at the gym and wonder if I’m worthy of Gods love. I’m starting to think this is God communicating to me through my emotions. I don’t know if I’m schizo or not but that’s what I believe.

you are an old soul, i don't think it's God, i think it's mother earth. there's a reason you're becoming a firefighter - the fricking planet is burning and she's crying through you, asking for your help. I had a similar experience at 32 this past year. popped and cried like baby for 2 hours straight.

God does not see your sin more than you are capable of seeing the sin in a newborn. Also, there is no meaning that you need to give to your life — that's magical thinking; you think you can reason something real out for yourself, and therefore create yourself — that is the atheists way. Your life has inherited meaning, God gave it to you, you just have to accept it. I understand your sentiment; it feels more rational to make your sin the base reality and go from there — that's the way of ego. What ego refuses to accept is the fact that He loves you without a condition— therefore He refuses to acknowledge your identity as a sinner. This is why people chose hell — they would rather suffer tremendously and confirm that they were right about being terrible sinners, than accept the simple fact that their identity is wrong, and God simply lovest them for no understandable reason.

This isn't a pro-/fast/ post, but I do hear the redeemer from time to time during deep contemplation within 60-72hour fast (haven't gone further though). shrooms raise interesting questions but if you're capable of deep contemplation you should work said problems on your own. i've noticed lots of folk working their problems through shrooms praise them as if reaching that meditative state could not be accomplished with enough practice and good habits.
