Going to the gym is retarded

Here are some basic facts

1. Conventional lifting with a focus on lower body movements (especially squats) creates an unbalanced and extremely unattractive physique. Think of your typical gymcel with a huge trunk and thighs and no definition in their abs or arms. Women are REPULSED by this physique. This is the physique of ancient slaves who spent all day lifting and carrying rocks to build Mesolithic structures for their ottermode masters.

2. Lifting prematurely ages and eventually cripples your body (ex. Wheelchair bound Ronnie Coleman). Every old lifter has disgusting saggy skin, terrible back pain, and high blood pressure bloat.

3. Your attractiveness is in your genetics, especially your face, height, and natural shoulder width (bones). Once you’ve reached ~12% bodyfat you’ve already maxed out your genetic potential. If you are a skinny guy with shit genetics and low neonatal testosterone, no amount of excess muscle will make you frickable, it just comes across as a pathetic cope.

If you are lifting in order to achieve ogremode and don’t give a frick about women that is understandable. But for the vast majority who are lifting for pussy just know that you are wasting your time.

Most people don't need a gym to stay in shape. An extremely simple calisthenics routine (2-3 basic exercises, 30–45 minutes) done every day will bring fantastic results in a month or two.
Going to the gym should be for people who want to do serious bodybuilding or weightlifting because the equipment for it is too expensive & bulky for most people to buy and have at home.
Training at home saves so much time. Working out at the gym takes at least twice as long because you have to go both ways, get changed, etc.

And since nowadays gyms are so full of normies and Instagram thots, there's even less of a point to go there.

One thing I agree with the blackpill morons is that gym bodies look pathetic on short men. There's little point to working out if you're short, other than lowering your body fat.

i am starting to think that for man enough would be
      10pull ups
      10chins
      10dips
      20leg raises
maybe also 20 curls and lat raises with dumbbells. for women push ups and chins/pulls with legs supported. op pic has too big delts to be aesthetics. big traps are for wrestlers and when combined with capped delts they make you look like gym rat. bad look imo. legs... well in images guys who aim for classical look might look kinda proportional when flexing but flexing legs doesnt make them bigger unlike arms. these guys look t-rexish irl.

Yep I fell for the barbell meme. I became a 230 pound powershitter who couldn't run 5k.

Found Iron Wolf now I only do high rep calisthenics, kbs, sandbag and roonning.

Now ripped at 185 and feeling great. Being heavy and eating a lot makes you tired all the time.

What made him change his mind on going to the gym? What did he read or otherwise learn?

He's been against exercise for many years, but only recently became more vocal about it.
One of his old channel videos included a segment of a cardiologist talking about how bad cardio actually is.
Turns out athletes' hearts end up scarred at the microscopic level from having to withstand so much pressure. The pressure stretches the heart from the inside out.
People who run marathons have high levels of troponins, an unequivocal marker for cardiac damage, after each event. Same thing with cyclists, triathlon and the like.
Then there's the absurdly high rates of heart issues in all kinds of professional sportsmen, especially those in basketball and soccer, they have later in life.

I tend to agree with him when it comes to long term cardio.

It's pointless to do cardio to "burn calories" because an hour of exercise will not burn that many calories.
You can eat these calories back in less than 5 minutes. Diet is where 99% of the leverage is.

I'm not against having fun. Playing with a ball with friends, going out on a hike in nature and so on is fun.

Running around in circles alone for no reason isn't fun.

“Cool shit” such as lifting metal in an air conditioned gym for two hours? or running on a treadmill? You don’t need to abuse your body to do “cool shit”. Playing an instrument or walking through nature is cool and fun and doesn’t necessitate you damaging your body.

If you have kids you tend to want to life as long and healthy as possible to enjoy your time on this earth with them and your future grandkids.

I also lived some reckless years and they were by nature short-sighted and centered on living in the moment. Then you grow up and move on. If I could go back in time I would give up some of my crazy years and have had kids earlier. Experiences make up who we are but vapid partying and traveling and all that really don’t hold a candle to being a father although I’m glad I have these experiences because I don’t wonder “what if…” or have regrets. But having lived both lifestyles I can say that my 30s have been much more rewarding and satisfying.

Maybe you just haven’t attained these maturation milestones and are doing the whole Peter Pan thing? Many such cases.

              >why do you care if someone else does think its fun?
I don't. You assume I do because I hit a nerve. I can tell from the angry language (frick around, obese morons, shit) in your post.
I couldn't care less if people choose to slowly kill themselves out of self-hatred, which is what the gym is all about.
It does bother me that people who do it then promote it to others as "healthy" and mislead or guilt-trip others into doing it. But I don't have a personal grudge against it.

If you can't understand the difference between people who get payed to be athletes and regular people, I got bad news for you all

If you can't understand the difference between people who get payed to be athletes and regular people, I got bad news for you all

There isn't really a difference. People still do marathons, Ironman and long cycling competitions without being paid for it, then promote that unhealthy lifestyle to others.
In fact, very often people PAY exorbitant amounts of money to sign up to these events or for the equipment required.
Just like the Pharma industry, the fitness industry is based on making money off people while slowly killing them. It's a profitable scam.

Several studies exploring the relationship between physical activity and cardiovascular health have reported a curvilinear association. However, emerging evidence suggests that cardiac maladaptations may occur in a few endurance athletes who perform exercise at the upper end of the physical activity continuum.

This is what I remember too. Going to an extreme of cardiovascular activity like running 40 miles 3x a week as fast as you can might be bad for the heart in the long term. Doing 20 min of cardio and going to the gym is healthy. Thanks for trying to save the misinformed.

    >Conventional lifting with a focus on lower body movements (especially squats) creates an unbalanced
This is true to some extent, there are some guys that only go to the gym and neglect cardio and le functional movements/strength and that can lead to a horrible mess where a person looks pretty fit but put them to work and they'll be exhausted within an hour complaining of pain in places they didn't even know existed.
I personally prefer something like antiquity aesthetics for example where they focused on the whole package.

Rest of that is just demoralising loser rubbish.

True. I notice a lot of short “men” in the gym as well, pretty funny to be honest. Like they actually think lifting will somehow make women like them? That other men will respect them? Lmao, they’re like the height of teenage girls, why would you even bother lifting aha. They either become twunks to bottom for real men or look like walking meatballs BAHAHA
