Hey bros, I've been lifting for almost 2 years and still haven't hit 1/2/3/4. I want to change to strength training specifically, like SS or StrongLifts, but my problem is that I also want to focus on isolation work to keep building my body up more. I wanna get a lot stronger, but I also don't want to end up like those people who run SS and just end up looking DYEL and/or fat. I wanna look and lift like a DBZ character, you feel me?
I'm bad with structuring workouts, but I want to get advice on either finding or modifying a program that has a focus on strength, but still has accessory lifts to help me keep putting on size across my whole body, too. Any advice is appreciated, God bless.
Pic COMPLETELY unrelated, just want to be able to get at least one reply and a booba picture is a pretty solid bet.
man i'd love to slather her in honey and roll her in oats if you catch my drift
i don't understand, could you elaborate?
I can't. Sorry.

could you elaborate ?

ID WISH SHE WOULD SIT ON MY DICK AND SPREAD HER ASS SO I CAN SEE HER CUTE PINK BUTTHOLE if you know what I mean
Huh?
That's a man btw
but serious answer; do SS (or something similar to it, in principle) as a core and stack bodybuilding stuff on top. so you'd have your focus being squats and bench at real low volume/high weight, but accompanied by other compound or isolation exercise at a rep range for hypertrophy.
alternatively you could get into an actual sport on the side of the strength focused lifting to condition/lean you out.
How do you recommend stacking hypertrophy work on top of strength work? The biggest concern I have is running a dedicated strength program and doing tons of heavy compounds but not having enough energy left to have good intensity for isolation movements.
Right now i'm running a PHUL program, and I love the structure of PHUL and I've had OK-ish progress with it with my working sets for bench and squat have gone up 15 and 20 lbs respectively in 6 weeks while still keeping strict form and staying in 3-5 reps, but I feel like i'm not getting nearly enough volume for major compounds since they each only get hit once a week.
I actually ran Jeff Nipple's PB program a couple of times last year and saw really good progress on my squat and deadlift, but I really stalled out with bench and OHP. Then again, though, maybe it's because I wasn't on a full on bulk back then like I am now.
trips checked.
>How do you recommend stacking hypertrophy work on top of strength work?
rn I'm doing a program that has me lifting in sets of 4 and 2. Really the only advice I can give is how it worked for me because I felt the same, how pure strength programs lack volume.
So i'll do something like
incline press. after a handful of build up sets i'll do; two sets of four, two sets of two, followed by two more sets of four. All of these at RPE that'll flatten me out
follow that with overhead press, four sets of eight
bench press, four sets of eight
tricep curls, three sets of twelve
and whatever else I care to put in there. the only numbers I really keep track of are what that incline press is, as that is suppose to go up over time. the squat/pull days are similarly structured.
If you feel like you're lacking the energy to do the other compound exercises the only thing I can say is like, ofc it's going to be hard, adapt your body to the difficulty and reap the reward. You're after more than pump, now, so a program that demands rising numbers is going to serve you well if you stick with it.
post more broads in latex.
What you're describing kind of sounds like my program already where it's got one or two big compounds followed by a bunch of accessory work for higher rep sets, my biggest problem is that I need more volume for the compounds. right now just doing the big 4 once per week doesn't feel like it's cutting it, which is why I'm considering doing something like StrongLifts and adding accessory work to it, but I don't know how well I'll be able to get enough actual good intense hypertrophy work. I might see if anyone's got a good routine for SL or SS that has good isolation work with it
and here you go homie here's some 2b ass for your troubles.
Can't speak for OP but you wouldn't be adding "tons of heavy compounds". What you would be doing is adding more sets of medium to light compounds between the 8 - 12 rep range in addition to your heavy sets.
It's hard to comprehend at first but training strength vs hypertrophy is like training 2 different aspects of the muscle. "The burn" you get feels different maxxing out your CNS to lift some heavy ass weight versus moving things until your muscles are literally incapable of enduring it any longer. That muscular endurance is something you build up overtime, like a muscle in itself that feels separate to what you're doing for your strength work.
Lets say you want to add 5 sets of 10 reps in addition to your work sets, well you'd start with 1-2 sets anywhere from 40% - 60% of your max (even if the weight looks ridiculous) and go from there till you reach your goal. You'd be surprised how fricked up your shoulders will get from overhead pressing as little as 25-30 kgs for 5 sets of 10 reps.
5/3/1 with the Boring But Big variation is a good example of adding hypertrophy stuff into a strength program.

Jeff Nippard has a power building program you could try.
Polished latex is the sexiest fricking material on this fricking planet. My dick is rock fricking hard seeing a woman in latex.
Can someone explain to me exactly what period of early childhood was this guy let down by his mother?
Reddit PPL (look it up) focuses on what you want.
Just looked it up, this might be exactly what I'm looking for, thanks Anon.
Women's tummies are so fricking hot when they're shaped like that good Lord
I’d love to toss her in sugar and then warm her up over a double boiler if you know what I mean
I'd love to roll her in olive oil and flour, put her in the oven and let that lil' ball of dough rise if you pick up what I'm puttin' down
I'd like to stick my wiener in her twat if you know what i mean
GODDAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 years and no 1/2/3/4 AND you want to do something like SL or SS?
Its unironically over
