Does anybody else see this lad as the David Lynch of nutrition

Unironically yes, ive had the same thought. He's the same kind of kind 1950s old dude with esoteric thinking. Plus they both drink gallons of coffee daily

Peat doesn't drink much coffee these days

Peat was a 100% quack nutritionist, which is very odd because he has done some excellent work in unrelated fields. A lot of what Ray Peat says about nutrition and human health tends to be based on his own biased observations, rather than the scientific method. His ideas have been heavily criticized by many working scientists in multiple areas, but I suspect that this criticism has no effect because most people following Peat don't understand his work well enough to realize how wrong he actually is.

        Philosophy and painting

If you think Ray's philosophy and painting were unrelated to his physiology work, you misunderstand his physiology work.

except he is not a nutritionist, he's an endocrinologist. not that it mattered for these glowies.

Except he didn’t. Try searching for research papers in his name. There is nothing else except thesis and some opinion shitposts. No original research.

Thank you Mr. Peat. Also modern medicine is 98% bullshit quackery

NTA but Peating basically healed my congenital psoriasis (i suspect its the coconut oil)
Im also way more energized and it has made weight loss easy and enjoyable thanks to ly improved metabolism

So you just ate coconut oil or what?

Nah this is what I did

          >Cut seed oils as much as possible
          >HIgh sugar low fat moderate protein diet (typically white rice/eggs/orange juice)
          >Cooked all my meal with coconut oil. I only used butter and olive oil for the taste
          >Coffee with cane sugar in the morning. Not everyday though
          >Sipped orange juice/milk+honey throuhout the day
          >Reduced the leafy greens

          This is basically it.
I am not following his diet to a t. I still eat fatty fishes, pork and (good quality)bread from time to time but I apply his principles of boosting the metabolism as much as possible and it works well enough.
Coconut oil is magical though, hands down the best thing (+anti seed oils) he talked about

Pic related is loosely based on ray peat

Coconut is a major 5α-Reductase inhibitor. How are your T levels?

T is massively overrated bro, DHT is where it's at. besides worrying about some overly specific stuffs in isolation would get you nowhere, applying peat's more holistic view is more crucial in my experience
          >b-but le bald!
i'd take that if it means that i have the hardest erections and getting calmer. literally everything T is praised for is in fact the effects of DHT.
