I prefer the stove.
I'd like the versatility of their higher end rice cookers but nothing about the medium or lower tier lines seems worth it. I love the zojirushi water boilers though.
>rice cooker
You bring dishonor to your family
I have that exact model accept newer. Greatest piece of machinery ever. Even doubles as a friend because it sings to you.
hell ya
for me, it is the air fryer
air fryer with silicon bowl is nuts
I use an instant pot. Pretty clutch. Makes rice just fine, and I also can bang out a great stew in 30 mins.
Well? Are you gonna drop the recipe or not? Or a couple of instant pot recipes?
Currently the only one I actually make is Chicken, rice, and veggies. 1-2 chicken breasts in the bottom, chicken broth, rice on top of the chicken breasts, veggies on that. Cook on high pressure for 18 minutes. Delicious chicken and the rice is fine.
my go to recipe in the instant pot is
1 onion, diced
some garlic
1-2 jalapenos, seeds removed if you don't want it spicy
sautee the veggies to open their up
add
2 containers broth
1 cup dry pinto beans
some salt
cook for 50 minutes, let slow release
ez beans
this but lentils instead of pinto beans + sliced carrots. So much fulfillment and the whole thing is only like 600 - 800 calories depending on what kind of broth you use. You can also do it just in a pot with a lid in about as much time.
Mm. Microplastics.
its in the rain water
>xhe thinks xhe can avoid microplastics
even living off grid, growing your own food, raising your own animals, creating your own tools, building your own everything, you'll still be exposed to microplastics.
wayyyyyy less but yea technically
>no point in avoiding lead exposure, you're gonna get some no matter what
>let me worry about things I have no control over because that will be better for my health
I can care about something without obsessing about it or having it control my life. This might be hard to comprehend to some people on IST.
And yes, you do have some control over it.
imagine needing an appliance for something as simple as cooking rice, NGMI
imagine thinking you can cook rice as good as this device does
ohhhh wow 2% better rice, who are you trying to impress? are you cooking for ramsay or something?
convinced people just get these meme appliances because their favourite food youtuber told them to. What a waste of money
doesn't even take that long, if you don't have time in your day to cook rice in a pan then you need to organise your time better
time is money.
time not spent managing rice on the stove is time spent somewhere more productive.
get fukt.
I hear great things about Zojis but I'm an instant pot gay
It's not the best at anything but it's pretty good at many things which makes it godly for mealprep
I'm poor, I use this one
Kinda dangerous to have this at home, it might make me obese
1/4 of a cup = 200 calories
I bought it to steam vegetables only to realize veggies are extremely expensive so I almost don't use it anymore
forgot pic
>large capacity
>can only fit 3 dumplings
capacity
>>can only fit 3 dumplings
yeah it's not high capacity at all
that's why I have it tho.
where are veggies extremely expensive?
>where are veggies extremely expensive?
just take a look at the price of broccoli
>check online every few weeks for frozen veggie sales at local grocery stores
>oh shidd $1/bag
>buy like $60 worth of veggies and fill deep freezer
>repeat when low
>do the same with meat, bonus if you hunt and can grab a few doe tags
if you don't have a deep freezer in your garage you need to get one
>the twinkle twinkle little star jingle when you hit start
>not using iron pot for maximum iron intake
its like you dont even want to make it
