Any tips? Decided to go Achilles mode - my hair grows fairly quickly but if anything can quicken the process, I'm all up for it. Heard that carrier oils (like coconut oil) plus essential oils (i.e. rosemary oil) help a ton - anyone here try this?

I suggest waiting for your hair to grow
As a long-haired chad myself, the best thing you can possibly do is just wait. My sister suggested dipping my hair in rice water but that accomplished nothing but making me smell like a Chinese buffet. My best maintenance tips are wash you hair 3/4 times a week instead of everyday, use a conditioner with natural ingredients, preferably one with coconut or argon oil, and NEVER use a blow dryer. That shit destroys every follicle
Will using conditioner get rid of my flakey scalp?
Don’t got that problem so idk. It’s always a good idea to use conditioner no matter what length ur at
Depends what's causing your flakes, nizoral will help if fungal. There are also other dandruff control shampoos/conditioner out there.
May or may not be the same situation as me (like
said many things cause flakes), but my issue is straight up dry scalp, usually during the winter when I'm not sweating as much.
In which case, I endorse tea tree shampoo like pic related, shits a miracle cure for dry scalp
All that you were advised plus a good brush.
What anon said here. Also get the ends trimmed regularly, frequency will depend on how fast your hair grows but you’ll notice when the bottom inch or so gets rough and scraggly.
This is israelite tier advice. The hair will still grow, fricked up ends or not. It's just an excuse to spend sheckels.
>T. Long hair enjoyer, haven't been to the hair stylist in 3 years, and it's past my belly button
>The hair will still grow,
I didn’t say it wouldn’t Black person. But you are going to find the ends are rougher and more damaged than the rest so that should be trimmed (at a rate slower than it grows). Do it yourself and save some money.

Never get a long hair cut. The best option is always to grow it out from a short hair cut, when it's too long you need to cut it all off.
Stop using shampoo and conditioner unless you get something in your hair. Rinse it every day for 10-20 minutes and comb it in the shower.
Bro’s hair must look like this:
I have light hair so I look like a surfer
I actually used to have long hair and decided to go nopoo and noconditioner. It's the best decision I could've ever made for my hair, seconded by cutting it.
Lemme drop some knowledge on you gays, as a FAILED long haired guy, so I don't have a good routine, but looking back I know what I did WRONG. My hair looks infinitely better now that it's short and I'd like to grow it out again and I could use tips how to take care of it down the line, anyway:
>just let it grow is a great tip
You don't have to do extra shit but please pay attention to it. If your scalp starts getting itchy, if your hair gets unnaturally greasy too quick, if the ends of your hair start getting split, then you act. Your hair is supposed to and usually does take care of itself if you are living a healthy lifestyle. The biggest mistake I did is I just ignored my scalp itching and split ends, because I thought it'll just sort itself out if I let it grow.
>if you decide to go nopoo, do it when your hair is short
the 1-2 week period of your hair getting oily when waiting for your body to adjust sucks dick when you're long haired and I decided to just cut it.
>if your hair is fine (looks like angel's hair or just fluff or prince charming's hair) go nopoo, really
>if your scalp gets itchy and you get dry skin, a apple cider vinegar mask (just mix 1:1 water and 4-6% acd and put it on your scalp for 1hr, then rinse) is a lifesaver
>brush your hair
>don't blow dry your hair
>if you have curls/waves, it's better to embrace them rather than just try and make your hair straight
conditioning from time to time helps with the curls slightly, but scrunching your hair up slightly as it dries helps even more.
Just take biotin and silica and make sure your diet is good to growth maxx, your hair is the first thing your body skimps on if you're poorly nutritioned. You have pretty hard limits to how fast you can go though so just be patient and hold your nerve during the awkward phase between short and long enough to tie back (you'll understand when you get there)
Also, get used to pulling it out from under you when you sleep and do not let it get down to your ass because that's about the length it starts getting caught in doors and zips
Wash hair in cold to lukewarm water, never hot. Nopoo is a meme, but you should avoid shampoo with SLS. Don't go bald. Brush it frequently.

Decided to grow my hair out less than two years ago after having it buzzed short for my entire life. I stopped getting haircuts and started using conditioner and shampoo, I like Aussie personally. I wash and condition every other day usually. I’ve got this awesome curly hair that I never knew I had. It’s glorious, I get at least a compliment a day from female patients on my hair
If you don't have a beard to accompany the hair you may look feminine.
>he doesn't have an incredibly sharp jaw that looks best clean shaven with long hair
I'd hate to be you bud
Don't bother with oils like rosemary, it makes no appreciable difference and makes a huge mess. And bad for your skin too when it inevitably gets everywhere when you sleep. Biotin apparently causes acne in the large doses you get from pills, so I cut that out and again I can't tell the difference in speed of growth at all. Just have patience. Oh and if you grow it out from a buzzcut without trims like I did prepare to look moronic for the better part of a year.
Why do you want to look like a woman
>having long hair makes him look like a woman
Sounds like a (You) problem lol
Idk bro I just feel like if I grew long hair I couldn't help myself. I'd start wearing skimpy dresses and buttplugs everywhere I go. Oh, a chastity cage too, obviously.
You in London?

The Bible says in Corinthians that it is normal for men to have short hair and women to have long hair. It says having a clothing head covering when praying for a woman shows submission and a head covering for a man as defiance. One of the earliest instances pertaining to long hair is in the book of Judges. The Book tells a story of a man named Samson the simp who made a Nazarite vow to the Lord. What is interesting is that part of this vow is to grow long hair. Samson was strong when he had long hair and was weakened with short hair. Some might say that this is proof that men should have long hair because why else would the Bible show this? Well, this isn't just about long hair but making a vow to God. So while Samson has gone against what is normal it is not held against him. Instead it is breaking the vow of cutting his long hair that is held against him. This also helps us know that the covering in Corinthians is primarily about a piece of clothing and NOT long hair. Long hair is only used as an example for natural head covering. And it cannot be a sin for a man to have long hair or else the Lord punished Samson also because he stopped commiting a sin!
So we all know what hair is, but what constitutes long hair? Is it hair that goes past the jaw? Does it have to reach the shoulders or go past the shoulders?
Lol, shut the frick up protestant

You can take hair support supplements but it's mostly just collagen. Marie sure your nutrients are covered because your hair will start falling out if it's neglected, long term restrictive dieting will cause hair loss and thinning.
Rosemary oil is great.
But actual good hair products, not from the supermarket or Walmart. I love briogeo, they have whole sets but it's expensive. I've never had such healthy great hair so it's worth it.
Youll want to think of protective styles for working out and general life tasks, invest in some silk scrunchies or hair ties to avoid breakage, but you'll need some form of headband to start (wash it regularly or you'll regret it.) If you want to be really hardcore you can do a headdress overnight but i don't see the point. As you get long hair you'll want to braid it so id recommend practicing on friends or family now. If you can pull off a French braid nicely you'll be dripping in bawds wanting you to braid their hair too.
Growing it out is the easy part, but surviving the awkward in between phase is the real challenge. Until you can comfortably hold it behind your ears its really unruly. Bandanas are your friend.
And dont part your hair down the middle, do a side part. Down the middle is for incels and metalheads.
correct
>Bandanas are your friend.
junk brand head bands and a good ball cap do it for me
im growing my hair out but its full of split ends as i didnt get it regularly trimmed at the ends, is it over?
Yes you have to be bald for the rest of your life. Just go to a hair stylist and get it trimmed off, you'll lose some length but it'll look so much better and reduce tangles and damage
Just cut my long hair off last weekend, I hadn't cut it in at least 4 years. Feels refreshing to have it out of the way and for my hair to be dry a minute after a shower.
most men don't have the facial features / jawline to pull-off longhair.
You'll likely look like a druggy to other humans.
Just grow it and don't worry about oils. They do nothing.
brush them after wake up and before goin to sleep
Use stemoxydine, also called serioxyl. L'Oréal has liquid drops that you use to reduces the dormant period for hair. This gets your hair back to the growing stage. Use it twice a day for 3 months then wait a month before using it again.
