Have you tried just eating less? You're a woman. For most men just being at a healthy weight is a massive plus. You should do that before thinking about being insecure at the gym.
the biggest issue for me with that is i recently recovered from anorexia (earlier this year) and dont really want to fall into that again, and i like physical activity, so i thought going to the gym would be a good in-between.
Honestly, just follow some female focused bodybuilding routine, and start going to the gym. most people will either not notice you, or mire from a far. Good luck, op!
