Gym Inflation

Does anyone else feel like going to the gym is not special anymore, more of like a requirement honestly, not really special to tell anyone you go to the gym. Since everyone does it is not as valuable.

Yeah that is one reason, although I think anyone that goes to the gym for that reason will be disciplined but dissapointed. It seems to me 5 or 10 years ago the gym was a niche thing and now its such a basic activity

I live in Miami. Most people here go to the gym and at least half of the people are roided up. A muscular physique doesn't make you stand out. I understand that you may have your viewpoint if you live in some Bible belt state or in the 3rd world, but in the real world it's competitive.

Everytime I hear that excuse it's ALWAYS some fat-ass looking for an excuse. FOR THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT BIG MUSCLY DUDES IT HOLDS TRUE YOU FRICKING FATASS. AND BIG DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN MUSCLE EITHER. AND BEING BIG AND MUSCLY DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN YOU'RE NOT ALSO OBESE WITH ALL THE HEALTH CO-MORBIDNESS AND RISKS THAT GO ALONG WITH IT. FRICK YOU FATTY. THE BMI IS FINE FOR EVERYDAY USE AND JUDGEMENT.

this might seem moronic but its possible that both obesity and fit bods are rising, and theres less average people walking around, either fricking whales or gym hitters

        Anonymous

Most likely. Extremes are raising, fat people are getting fatter, fit people are getting fitter. Also social media bias our perception of society. But normies don't stick with the gym for a long time, they are just talking about it. I'm not worried of getting mogged by normies yet.

3 days of lifting a week is perfectly fine to look big to normals, obviously it isn't going to make you look like a pro lifter but it'll bulk you up to the point people will think you're in shape. Remember the average normie thinks Brad Pitt in fightclub was big

I know everyone doesn't go but in the US 20% of americans have a gym membership. None of them are doing SS though stop with that shit. I stopped going to gyms and started working out at the park with rings and a dip belt because regular gyms feel like Walmart now. I never want to see a tripod again.

Also, ring dips and shit filter roiders so that's a point of pride for me. You take some shit that blows up your muscle size by 20lbs while on cycle you can't lift that shit up.

It’s always hilarious how delusional you people are; you’re as bad as OP - only wanting to do niche stuff so that you feel special. Like when hipsters discovered IPA.

I say delusional because it doesn’t filter anyone other than those who haven’t done it for long enough to acquire the skill and mobility to do it. That’s how specificity training works.

And I say this as someone who exclusively uses rings for pull ups, dips and leg raises.

People like you who think this way, are unironically the reason as to why you feel the way you do lol.

What makes you special is who you are as a person and your unique outlook on life... not going to the gym which has always been a very popular hobby, you just receive a lot more exposure because of social media but gyms were always full, even before you and I were born.

My brother is successful with women having over 100 bed partners and like 4 girlfriends. I'm 24 khv and i honestly don't know what to do differently. I literally don't know where i can even find women and i tried dancing. The few girls i do get to text or talk to are immediately not interested or scared of me. I simply can't function in this culture

Chicks can sense if you hate yourself, and you clearly do. Again, go to therapy, talk through your self hatred and you'll become more confident in yourself, which is 95% of what attracts chicks to men.
No matter if you're a chiseled demigod or a fatbody, if a women sees you don't have the inner strength to provide, she'll have no interest in you.

          Search specifically for Christian therapists.
No matter your beliefs, they will a) actually discourage sexual degeneracy (usually) which is a bulk of the causes/symptoms of mental illness, and b) try to find a solution avoiding pharms.

Are you upset that you don't feel as special as you want to? Do people not praise you enough and give you accolades? You wish everyone you knew acknowledged how great you think you are, and the fact that nobody cares that you go to the gym means that everyone else who goes to the gym is ruining it for you by making you unremarkable and commonplace by association?

Anon we've had 14 years of non-stop economic growth since 2009 on a global scale, we live in a period of unprecedented prosperity which since 2021 has actually trickled down to consumer spending, wage growth, bank savings etc.
This isn't normal and is unlikely to be replicated, economic cycles are not supposed to last this long.
