Living in a backwater suburb with a majority elderly population there is literally no gym nearby that has this machine. Enjoy it anon, hacksquat and pendulum squat are my dream machines

load up 1pl8 for deadlift. Stand in front of the bar. Deadlift it. You can now hack squat with a barbell
The barbell would hit the floor before I hit my lowest position. The lowest position is the best for muscle growth. I.e it's not the best quad exercise.
>when was the last time you did them for 3+ sets?
I tried to imply that I've never done them, but in theory they don't seem effective.

So go and try them with 1pl8 like I said. You will feel them in your quads by the second or third rep. Practice and real world experience always beats theory

Yes they do. You just only ever see the biggest, most muscular (and likely roided) people online because of social media bias.

No they don’t. Never seen anyone big at my gym do these. I’m the biggest guy at my gym and I don’t do these

The guy who invented the bench press did them. The name 'Hack squat' is short for Hackenschmidt, the name of the guy who invented it. But I guess you can be moronic

We're reaching back 100 years to find a guy who does this are we?
when i started lifting the only squatting i did was hack squats(i did rdls, quad estensions, and hammy curls too) and i got to the point where i was hack squating 4 plates. worked out with a friend and we did barbell squats. could barely lift 2 plates. was embarrassing
barbell squats work your full body
the barbell squat uses 500 muscles at once
this releases growth hormone and makes ALL your muscles grow. if you did nothing but barbell squats, you would get bigger arms and chest from the growth hormone and testosterone spike
No they aren't, unless you are a body builder trying to isolate quads. For general strengh and athletic performance barbell squats are better in every single way. This isn't even talking about how these will frick your knees up, while atg barbell squats are one of the best exercises to strengthen your knees
anything machine is better if you lift for hypertrophy
sadly i don't have this one on my gym
check inside the gym
>training legs
Ngmi
It's true. Hack squat solves the squatting problem.
>Hack squats are way better
For what?
deficit heel elevated barbell hack squats are goated
have fun with your puny legs doing silly machine exercises
Tell me anon what about the barbell makes it magically superior to the machine
He won't because he can't, barbells are a meme
Do them with a barbell like a real man

I dream of seated hamstring curl and side delt machine. Why are gym owners such morons.
My current gym doesn't have a hack squat. I've been doing lengthened partial smith machine squats instead and I might even prefer them to hacksquats.

Even if that may be the original meaning, that's a very different exercise.
still trains your quads better than any other lift.
