Same. I’ve been on topical Finasteride and Minoxidil for about 4 months now, and I’ve definitely seen results. Is the spray more price efficient compared to the dropper? I’m spending ~$80 a month for a combination out of convenience.
enjoy rubbing min on your head 2x a day and then when you inevitably get sick of it or you miss a few days, enjoy ALL of the min gains falling out.
fin + microneedling is the only way
Solo fin is only viable if you catch yourself at like a NW2 MAXIMUM and are fine with that. Most guys don't even know treatment is a thing though and don't get on it until they're NW3 at least at which point not even shooting up minoxidil daily will restore their hairline back to a NW2 even.
Minox you only actually need once per day, but it does limit you for life having to apply it and deal with that greasy hair in the area. And if you have diffuse balding or a broad balding pattern you're going to have to basically be dunking your entire head in a bucket of minoxidil to get proper consistent coverage.
Oral minox > Topical if you can tolerate it.

minoxidil application doesn't need to be BID and it's not as if missing even a couple days makes everything fall out. It lasts there a while actually.
Having said that, topical application is indeed fricking annoying. Especially with medium or long hair. That's why I only apply it once daily, and never before I'm going anywhere. And I ingest minoxidil orally because it works better that way anyway.

Yeah I suppose that's par for the course usually. One way or another bodybuilders wind up being the most crazy of the fitness industry in big or small ways. Powershitters go bloatlord but are content to just bench press alone in a room with their other obese friends. Calisthenicsgays work out in public parks so have to socialize even if they scare people. Strongmen are probably the most well adjusted guys generally but still destroy themselves for sport. Bodybuilders go absolutely ballistic though.

Do I just switch to dutasteride to preserve my fricked NW3 hairline I guess? I kept getting told "no no just wait it out it can take two years to see results" and believed that like a sucker. Now my hair is worse than ever my hairline is fricking ugly as shit and at best I'm going to get no regrowth and just have to get a $6000+ transplant. I know I've got absolute body dysmorphia about it but I truly feel nauseated by how it looks and it's all I can see in pictures.

Sure there will still be lower quality older women that will settle for you looking worse, or you can compensate by being a millionaire as well. Between those I'd rather try to become a millionaire and just try to keep my hair as much as possible in the meantime while there's still ways I can style it to be okay.

shave your head. it looks great on 90% of men, especially if you're in good shape. no you don't have a weird skull, you're just not used to seeing it. give it a month and let the skin tone even out and you'll never go back.
Honestly feels good too. I'm not even bald, and I don't go full smooth shave, but I just completely buzz my hair off every now and then cause it feels fricking good, looks good, and is way easier to take care of.

confidence is way higher. i get significantly more mires than i did before, even from girls i had previously considered out of my league.
my girlfriend admitted to me post-transplant that she would still love me if i went bald, but she truly prefers me with hair. she was afraid to say anything in case the stuff i did wouldn't work.
