First it was pipes, then cigars, then cigarettes, then vaping, now it's snuff. You dipshits just don't stop falling for the nicotine meme

Nicotine is a great drug. It's stimulating and relaxing and increases choline so you have more focus and easily enter flowstate. It also prevents the breakdown of testosterone and has a net anti-inflammatory effect. The reason that it is difficult to quit is because it has no immediate negative effects, only positives. The negatives is arterial hardening and elevated blood pressure. Other than that it is actually neuroprotective and helps prevent alzheimers and dimentia.

kek what the frick is wrong with people, just quit buying them moron. you know when you are in the store and you see ice cream and whatever slop and looks really enticing then you say nah, if I have it in the house then I'll be tempted to eat it, so you put it down and carry on with your shopping. why are people lacking this basic ability? literally the most important thing to develop in yourself.

NTA, but while vaping isn't good for anyone, it's significantly less bad than smoking cigarettes. Reducing harm is better than nothing. And if he is smart about it he can taper off vaping and quit entirely.

on the other hand the fact that you can vape indoors might lead you to vape much more than you used to smoke

This is such an addict cope. Just quit, there is no tapering off, you just decide to not do it one day and then stick to it. It's that simple.

in the end this is the best way to actually stop an addiction to nicotine. just finish up your pack of cigs/vape cartridge/can of zyns and then when you're craving more in a few hours and you pass by a store that sells them, just exert enough willpower for 5 minutes to tell yourself "no I don't need that shit" and walk past it without buying anything. It gets easier to resist those cravings over time but it's literally just the first 24-48 hours and then you're over it.
nicotine withdrawal is really overrated tbh, it's just that the short spontaneous cravings keep on coming back for months after you quit

I constantly had an 8 mg in my gums last year. Finally got fed up with them after I got super nauseous during a flight. I used nicotine patches to quit- 21 mg for a few days, 14 mg for a few days, etc. Been off of them for five months.

I smoke socially (~3 cigs over a weekend a few times a year) and am always waiting for the nicotine addiction to get me but it never does. The way my dad described it to me was like the very next day after trying a cig his body was like "hey dude where's the next hit". Maybe we are just built different.

Cocaine is nothing. The comedown sucks so hard it just isn't worth even doing. The point of cocaine is drinking more. It prevents you from passing out. Just cocaine is like drinking a bunch of espresso with more pinpoint focus. Nicotine is the same way but to a lesser extent. People smoke when they drink to allow them to drink more aside from the slight nicotine rush.

Well then you don't know anything about alcoholism. Coke heads combine it with alcohol. Almost nobody just does coke alone. Did you never wonder why your hangover is worse when you smoked when you drank? Protip: it's not because nicotine causes a hangover, it's because you drank more because the stimulant kept you from slowing down.

The AA 12 steps are based on jungian and christian spirituality. I look at that kind of thing as being like newtons laws. Do they perfectly explain physics and reality? No. Are they functional models? Yes. Whether god is real or not doesn't effect the personal benefit of believing in him. I'm a joseph campbell and jung reading hippie in a lot of ways. To me acceptance of god is just the acceptance of a personification of reality itself. The people who fight against reality/god are the utopian trannies who think they can fight reality itself. That's why they think they can chop their dicks off and be a woman or that they can force everybody to be actually equal in any way physically because life is le unfair. The argument against god/reality is always that god/reality is unfair because disease and famine or whatever. Forcing people to accept god is just forcing them to accept reality and come to terms with it.

It increases testosterone which causes skin to thicken and changes the way it ages. See: steroid users.

You don't get cancer from food grade nicotine. You get it from the hydrocarbons in tobacco.

Again, that is not in nicotine pouches. It's food grade nicotine, some plant cellulose, and flavorings. It's other compounds in the tobacco that cause cancer. You swallow the spit from them, you don't spit it out.

I used to use snus very often and tried zyn/On! a few times before I finally quit for good about 3.5 years ago. I gained weight after quitting but now I’m not spending beaucoup bux on nicotine and I don’t feel like throwing up every morning at work because I swallowed too much snus spit now. I guess it was worth doing. It sucked for like 3 months then it got pretty ez. I used to have to put two Siberia snus in to feel a buzz towards the end for reference
