exposure to the poison trains your body to handle it better as it ages
Remember to never listen to prohibitionist fatties either
What qualifies as excessive drinking
more than 2 a day if you drink every day or more than ~10 drinks a week if you drink 2/3 days a week
Think like this - glass of beer with dinner, glass of wine with desert. OR social events on the weekend with a couple fruity wienertails, or a hangout with the lads with a glass or two of whiskey.
Which is kind of hilarious, tons of people drink over 10 total between a couple after work or a few more on the weekend
I mean to be fair I could down a 6 pack in a single night and keep going for more when I was in my early twenties but now I could barely handle 6 drinks across 6 hours, I'm sure age also plays a factor into what is/isn't excessive
Yeah as you get older it takes its toll. I’m mid 40’s, I went out a few months ago and had about 30 pints and it took me two days to get back to myself, where as in my early thirties I’d have been fine after a day and a half drinking that much.
>30 fricking pints
lmao there is a limit anon
>drinks 30 pints
>"damn I'm getting too old for this shit"
kek, isn't this like 15 liters of beer
Yes. It’s not a regular thing, once a year maybe I have that much.
Go out at lunchtime, get home 4am so 15 hours of drinking, it’s only two pints an hour.
>about 30 pints
>30 pints
Please tell me this is a typo, or over the course of a few days or something.
>30 pints
it's over
cheers
cheers anon, Think I'm at 16 this week and it's only thursday? We'll get to 24 by sunday.
Cheers anon,hyat2 reminds me to buy another crate in case I drink a bit more this weekend
correlation != causation, moron. You'd have to be the dumbest motherfricker alive to think excessive drinking equates to living longer.
Now post average BMI by county vs. life expectancy.
kek
>CORRELATION ISN'T CAUSATION!!!!!!
One of the midwit's favorites. Right after lazy grammar pedantry. A correlation is the first step towards determining a causation, one relies on the other even if it doesn't imply it. It's called ... "evidence." Now go back to your water and apples you stupid gay.
>one relies on the other even if it doesn't imply it
we really need to figure out why people are drowning in pools when nic cage movies come out eh
You're so dumb you don't even realize what I'm saying and are proceeding with your redditisms, yes I've seen that chart before you bazingafrick
what has to go wrong in someones life to be this confidently wrong and arrogant all at the same time? Does your mother love you?
What has to go wrong for people enjoying a comfy /drinking/ thread and then you step in with your cliche we have heard since we were 6 years old
>CORRELATION ISN'T CAUSATION
>IT ISN'T
>HAVE YOU HEARD A CORRELATION ISN'T NECESSARILY A CAUSATION??
We get it. Good boy! Here is your treat, back to /lgbt/
>comfy /drinking/ thread
jude propaganda to make you drink poison*
you're REALLY insistent people drink the mindslop
how much do they pay you?
Btw, no, my mother does not love me, but that actually is a case of correlation not equalling causation.
>Btw, no, my mother does not love me, but that actually is a case of correlation not equalling causation.
it's pretty obvious you have mommy problems
cope harder
But that graph doesn't show a strong correlation. Are you okay anon?
The case for Nicolas Cage appearing in movies causing pool drownings:
>Nicolas Cage is renowned for his status as a popcorn flick actor appearing in mass appeal cinema fare and some of the bigger blockbusters in any given year
>when people gather to watch a movie socially, they are more likely to continue the social gathering elsewhere, use the pool more often, have a higher chance of drowning in it.
>Cage, a leading figure of 2000s blockbusters, inadvertently contributes to slightly higher amounts of pool drownings when people gather socially to watch his movies
You're legit moronic. Have fun with your pickled brain and failed liver. The evidence you're going by is a IST shitpost.
>A correlation is the first step towards determining a causation, one relies on the other even if it doesn't imply it.
You can tell he's a dumb person because he's trying (and failing) to articulate what a 'hypothesis' is without using that term specifically.
>posts AI basedboy image
>calling someone else a midwit for pointing out your basic midwit fallacy
>"but muh evidence"
>doesn't provide any
Your and idiot.
Fatties, please go. This thread isn't for pearl clutching little straight edge girls. When does Baptist church have its service tonight?

Kek ad hominem attacks on an anonymous poster is the last resort of the moronic. Face it, you said some stupid ass shit, learn from it and go do something else.
>Now that's a good one. Everyone is out here drinking, living, and having sex, and you're in you room whining about it lmao

That's just demoralization propaganda. I know this because OP's charts refute it. correlation = causation
Go back to pleddit r / IST.
So excessive drinking is correlated with healthy weight. Interdasting
Lads, when I drink a bottle of wine in a day, I wake up the next day and look lean and weigh like 4 pounds lighter. I assume I am dehydrating myself, but is this good/bad? I drank a bottle of wine every day for the past 4 days and I am down about 15 pounds.
Wine has to be the god tier booze as meds love it and they live the longest too. Clean stuff
One or two glasses a day is probably fine. It’s mainly the drunchies you get that will frick up your diet.
casual drinking only works until it doesnt. most alcohol drinkers are alcoholics who hide it
>I dont drink on weekdays
Any time you see something like this remember to control for "youths" throwing off the stats.
>You're legit moronic. Have fun with your pickled brain and failed liver. The evidence you're going by is a IST shitpost.
>classic European tradition
the europeans in question. I know because I'm from this region, alcohol is poison and the world would be better if no one had tasted even a drop. Slavs would have actually done something if we weren't such subhuman alcoholics
too drunk to even post the image, here
Speak for yourself pussy. Northwestern European Germanics conquered the world on the backs of beer.
They actually drank mead. Fermented fruits promote vitality. Fermented grains and hops, like in beer, are full of dietary estrogens and give the drinker a complacent, sleepy effect.
The Pope outlawed mead for hundreds of years for this reason. Hops and fermented grains created a complacent feminine population in Europe. This is all historical fact.
Hmm, is there any mead worth trying now?
They still produce mead in Poland ad it's called miód pitny
>t. Polack
Drinkable honey moment
Making a good homebrew mead is easy. Just needs some unpasteurized honey, water, and throw in some fruits on hand. Probably one of the easiest homebrew drinks to make other than apple cider.
I make my own and it tastes alright
once tried a mead/cider with raw honey and crabapples, came out a little sour but I like those flavours; I'm sure normal apples would've been sweeter.
addendum: shill out for the distillers yeast; yes it's more expensive than breadyeast, yes your brew will taste better - it's bred to have fewer off tasting byproducts.
I've always made mead with the natural yeasts in the raw honey and some apple skins from my brother's apple tree. Since you're using your own yeast are you using pasteurized honey, or still raw?
Still raw, I'll just prep the water in the mash with enough sugar that the yeast I add will 100% outcompete the other yeast present
I wonder if using pasteurized honey would taste better or worse now, I'll have to give it a shot
I've been convinced, ordered a home brewing kit
You'll have a lot of fun with it. Pick up some Saniclean too if you haven't.
No home brewing stores near you? Depending on where you live you might have access to lots of combination brewing and hydroponics stores. I ask because it's nice to browse equipment and ask questions. I started small with a glass jug, airlock, hydrometer, and wine yeast.
Also dig on YouTube for wine brewing videos. There's a surprising amount and I did most of my learning there
Making your own is an option, but you won't get the best product until it's been aged for a few months to a year. Store bought mead is a crapshoot
said germanics were then conquered by drunk slavs that raped all their women, or are currently in the process of conquering themselves by letting in people that make slavs look like neutered scandinavians
Americucks don't know how to drink.
Either they get shitface drunk on a random shitty beer or they preach about always staying sober.
Their mutt brains don't know how to be moderate.
I was born in Georgia, U.S., to Polish parents but we moved leaveand when I was 2 years old. Seems like I really dodged a bullet, or did I? Nevertheless I always wondered what my life would’ve turned out to be if we stayed in US.
moderationchads stay winning
Need to see breakdown of different types of alcohol. Like yeah red wine is healthier because of resveratrol and other antioxidants.
But if someone's life expectancy goes up from drinking vodka then I'll be impressed.
This is 100% anecdotal, but my great-grandfather lived until 104 and he drank a single shot of cachaça (spirit distilled from sugar cane) most evenings for most of his life
>cachaça
Is that stuff any good? I'm trying to find rum I like but hipsters tainted the industry and it's all triple aged in bourbon barrels. I just want a good clean white rum that's not bottom shelf garbage.
I’m not a big fan of pure spirits in general so i don’t feel like i’m the best person to ask, but as far as distilled drinks go i think it tastes better than most. Also nice trips
>8-21 the sweet spot
Interesting. I'm probably around 12 or so a week myself.
>all sick people drink little to no alcohol, older people drink little to no alcohol
>healthy and young people drink lots of alcohol
>somehow the second group lives longer
causation, correlation, I heard about it before, somewhere...
correlation=causation, unless you're a midwit.
>shitposting unironically
Evidence that social drinking lowers stress, which promotes health.
