This may be total broscience, but I heard a trainer at my gym claim that mixed grip deadlifts produce greater biceps gains than curling (he was arguing AGAINST deadlifts). It is in line with what Israetel and his DYEL friends have been promoting.
Heavy weighted stretching does produce a growth stimulus. Deadlifts are just really dangerous on the biceps because of how heavy they can be.

At the bottom when it touches your chest, much of the load is on your rotator cuff and, again, your muscles aren't fully active. Tension itself is king. It doesn't matter whether you got it from tut, a loaded stretch, bracing, or good old fashioned screaming like a barbarian and grinding out that last rep. One method will probably create more tension than the others though depending on your available equipment and the muscle you're targeting.
Also it doesn't even always matter if one method creates more tension because you only need as much as you need. It's gonna be more every time but it's still only a certain amount. You don't trigger hypertrophy at varying magnitudes, you just trigger it or you don't.
None of this matters when you're juiced to the gills.
