How do you argue against this whenever you begin talking about the evils of the modern world? Whenever I imagine the old days and living in the countryside in a less than modern way, I get hit with the realization that without hot showers, toilets, public roads and (less needed) internet life would suck for 90% of the time, for 90% of people. Comfort truly is a huge trap, even if we recognize every other evil in existence. We're all (including myself above everybody else) putting comfort above right.

For one, if we removed and rewilded half of all infrastructure in every country, and it was all full of thick, wild forests which people can live in with all the risks included, but we didn't change anything else technologically, the average person would not be affected, but anyone dissatisfied can move to the frontier and live as they wish. Ergo, it's not strictly a technology issue.
Second, if we were in a survival situation, we would not care about the comforts of we had no choice. If the choice was airconditioned living space with free luxuries vs back breaking labour on a farm then it would be very difficult to pick anything but comfort. However, the reality of it wouldn't be exactly the worst of the worst.
I think it's more of a freedom and nature issue more than anything else.
I actually lived in eastern europe countryside without hot water/running water/sewage/internet. During the schoolyear I'd be in the city, where I had a PC with internet. During summer vacations, I'd be sent to grandparents to help them grow their potatos and other crops (it was a hobby for them). Everything was done via manual labor, including carrying water uphill from a spring (because grandparents were too cheap to use running water and too moronic to dig a well I guess). It was fine. Boring and uncomfortable but better than sitting in a chair in front of a screen all day, and that's not counting coworkers/bosses.
Outhouse was full of spiders and random bugs but you learn not to care. I actually enjoyed going to shit in the middle of the night in winter (we would go to the cottage with friends to party in winter). Wake up, put on jackboots, walk across a snowy field to the outhouse, shit, go back, stand outside for a few minutes admiring the night sky and the stillness of nature, maybe rub some snow on hands and face, maybe take a short walk.
Wash in a river or with snow if the river is covered in ice.

Well I didn't mean to imply that being 6'2 is huge or anything, but it's above average enough that I've recieved enough comments over the years, especially asking if I play basketball (but part of that might be me being a Somalian guy in western Canada lol). No shortage of white people up here obviously, but it's a relatively diverse place imo so maybe that contributes.
Also I don't fundamentally disagree with what you're saying but it's still not right, people should just learn to have more respect in general, especially towards people like my asian friend who aren't in a position to fight back while in a working environment. Weight classes exist for a reason in combat sports between "equal" combatants, but irl a short guy who trains hard and knows how to fight is taking out the average tall guy decisively.

Flip side of this is I’m your same height but for a while I had really bad anxiety issues and struggled with basic eye contact and I was pretty jumpy. During that time certain people, and it was always the same types (short, fat, weak, middle aged guy who looks like he was bullied relentlessly as a kid, etc etc), would jump on that to feel powerful. They would treat me like shit and it was like some weird ego cope where they thought for once in their lives they were being intimidating to someone else. It’s a combo of culling weak from the heard, helps each other get stronger, and helps climb the totem pole. It’s not that ironic. Most people who are actually tall do not think about it at all. Nor do they care about if people are short. It’s the borderline guys that are the most insecure. If a tall guy bases his personality around it, which is rare, it usually means he doesn’t have much else going for him. It really is, love waking up at dawn and taking dogbro out for a jog. That crisp morning air just makes you feel so alive. There's something special about the cold shower after, it's very grounding. It makes you value yourself more. Hence my absolutely raging anger when I see the scars those prostitutes left upon my body. Then after a long day of dealing with bullshit I let it all out by lifting until failure. The shower after that feels like I'm cleansing myself of their pestilence. My dog greets me at the door and we walk through the night. It's quiet, peaceful, beautiful. The world is a beautiful place, despite the repulsive sows inhabiting it. I won't let them overshadow that beauty. I wouldn't mind sharing my life with another, though I've been fighting against all odds for so long that I'm not sure I know how to let anyone in. I fight hard for my peace and quiet, to be safe and secure without anyone interfering with me. I don't know how I'd handle someone giving me shit in my own home. I actually lived in eastern europe countryside without hot water/running water/sewage/internet. During the schoolyear I'd be in the city, where I had a PC with internet. During summer vacations, I'd be sent to grandparents to help them grow their potatos and other crops (it was a hobby for them). Everything was done via manual labor, including carrying water uphill from a spring (because grandparents were too cheap to use running water and too moronic to dig a well I guess). It was fine. Boring and uncomfortable but better than sitting in a chair in front of a screen all day, and that's not counting coworkers/bosses.
Outhouse was full of spiders and random bugs but you learn not to care. I actually enjoyed going to shit in the middle of the night in winter (we would go to the cottage with friends to party in winter). Wake up, put on jackboots, walk across a snowy field to the outhouse, shit, go back, stand outside for a few minutes admiring the night sky and the stillness of nature, maybe rub some snow on hands and face, maybe take a short walk.

Flip side of this is I’m your same height but for a while I had really bad anxiety issues and struggled with basic eye contact and I was pretty jumpy. During that time certain people, and it was always the same types (short, fat, weak, middle aged guy who looks like he was bullied relentlessly as a kid, etc etc), would jump on that to feel powerful. They would treat me like shit and it was like some weird ego cope where they thought for once in their lives they were being intimidating to someone else. I fixed my problems and ran into some of the same people, they tried their same shit and they threw absolute fits because I barely even acknowledged what they were doing how they were talking to me other than a pause and stare and to ask “is everything okay with you?”, like full on stomping feet and demanding to speak to a regional manager and corporate type of fit.

It’s a combo of culling weak from the heard, helps each other get stronger, and helps climb the totem pole. It’s not that ironic. Most people who are actually tall do not think about it at all. Nor do they care about if people are short. It’s the borderline guys that are the most insecure. If it's about me: because I want individuals to stop wasting their time and energy being bitter about the fact their physicality doesn't give them the right to kill people right away or win any argument (it never did).
Instead they should harness their healthy lifestyle and good genes to either progress upward in society (if they were descended from actual leaders) or, if they were descended from basic warriors and are too stupid to actually make things work, to work on getting an eugenic wife to carry offspring that will hopefully be more competent than they are.
