    CICO is good to keep track of. But there's more to losing weight than CICO. What you eat matters.

    >Step one:
    Get rid of any processed food in your house. It doesn't matter how much money you spent. You can take the financial loss now or you can take it later when you develop health problems from your obesity and need to pay for insulin to stave off the consequences of your diet. You are what you eat. Don't eat trash.
    >Step two:
    Go on a three day fast. This is to help correct your appetite to make it easier to follow the next step. You can do light cardio during this period. You can probably walk two miles fairly simply at this point at a faster pace, slowing down only if you are absolutely short of breath.
    >Step three:
    Go to the store that offers good quality organic fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, etc. and only buy raw whole foods (that ways we can get rid of any inflammatory and endocrine disrupting effects of pesticides). During your fast days, look into how to cook if you don't already know how to. Learn to correctly portion such that you can accurately predict your caloric intake. Your diet should be no more than 40% carbs (starchy vegetables, tubers, and rice are preferred; it should be lower however since you want to deplete your glycogen stores regularly so that your body needs to resort to using fat to provide energy; you only need enough carbs to get you through your exercise and you don't need much outside of that) and no less than 30% protein (meat, eggs, and dairy are preferred for this is more bioavailable; ignore the people scared of cholesterol since dietary cholesterol does not correlate to blood serum cholesterol) and 30% fat (fat consumption is not a factor in weight gain) while keeping to no more than a 1900-2100 calorie/day intake. This should be around if not slightly less than maintenance for an inactive person. Pic related is an example of what a healthy food will look like. Also, do OMAD or two meals/day.
