Great helm is the most aesthetically pleasing
Kettle hat is the most practical, cheapest to produce, maintain. There's a reason modern "warriors" wear similar helmets
>so should I switch flat barbell for flat dumbbell?
yea
the inclines too.
>should I change the reps/volume?
3 working sets is about as much as i've even been able to benefit from.
start with whatever weight allows for 6 reps
once you can do that weight for 12, increase it next session
another question. I think I'm increasing my working set weight too rapidly. I can comfortably do 185 x 5 and then I go to 205 for 2 or 3. Then I try and go up to 225 or 215 and can get one or can't. I think I just need to try and get 205 for 5 consistently now. Would that make sense?
>>S TIER >frog-mouth
Frog mouth is a moronic design though, because you have to lean forward at at least a 30 degree angle to even see. It was used exclusively for tournament jousting because as you straightened up to take the hit, your eyes would be automatically protected from the splinters
Spagenhelm or great helm if I'm going purely for aesthetics
Barbute or Armet if I have to actually wear the thing in combat
Kettle hat if I have to equip an army
I have. Barbute a shit. Got knocked on the head and the thing went spinning around my head and the only thing stopping it from spinning is my nose. Needless to say your nose gets an instant wake up call.
>eat more >drop the weight a little and do sets in the 10-15 range >figure out which muscles are the ones failing you and do more isolations targeting them. >small chance you're overtraining and just not giving yourself enough recovery time
I don't know which 8s the most practical, but Spangenhelm and Sallet are the most soulful.
I would recommend giving HIT a try if you're at a plateau. I haven't tried it yet but am interested exactly sale sizes purpose. And I want to rest up this fall, may try it soon.
It's fricking leather. Worthless compared to any of those in OP. There are more than a few reasons why Mongols never made it past the steppe in Europe, and got BTFO but Croats, Austrians and even Templar crusaders (heavy cavalry peasants essentially)
barbute is best. good protection and does not restrict breathing. medieval war gear weighted 20-35kg total. imagine running in this shit wearing closed helmet.
Great helm with chainmail underneath for neck protection. Not only does it look intimidating as frick, it's great against heavy hitters, and it also has enough room to fit padding everywhere. Helmet or not, getting dinged in the head or jaw with no padding fricking sucks.
The body can't handle doing your heaviest weights indefinitely. If you're stuck at a weight, just staying there isn't the solution, go down a bit and work your way back up with momentum and then you will break through
Whats your routine? Bodybuilding or powerlifting?
How many sets and reps do you do?
sorry I was busy shitposting.
My routine is bench press 5x5, incline bench 4x10 or 5x5 depending on the day, dips 4x10, then I will hit close grip or wide chest press to burnout
a houndskull is a type of bascinet tho
for me it's the armet

What weight are you stalled out on? Your weight and height? Your routine? Fricking give us something to work with moron.
try switching to db press for a while

so should I switch flat barbell for flat dumbbell? Also should I change the reps/volume?

the frog mouth wasn't intended for anything aside from jousting and tournament use. I enjoy a nice English cross helm, shit looks an executioners mask
chainmail is underrated
armet/close helmet + Milanese plate for me.

Spangenhelm is kino as frick, but the shock absorption would be minimal if you got hit in the mouth.

Great helm mogs
I‘m going with the frog mouth because I think it gives you the best protection while retaining decent visibility.

Picrel cucks all of them. OP, deload to about 80% for a week and eat big.

(you) have CNS fatigue
Spangenhelm looks like the ultimate balance between defense, comfiness, and intimidation.
Wouldn't you instantly be concussed if you got hit wearing any of these?
I feel like a light weight leather helm would make the most sense in combat
concussed>head caved in
They wore a leather cap inside the helmets that provides cushioning and a snugger fit. It's not like they just wore the helmets bare skull on metal.
Pirate hat
The Gothic Sallet is kino

Speak for yourself, pleb.
for me it's the great helm
Great helm > barbute > frog mouth
I like how frogmouth looks the most but if I had to fight it would be with a barbute so I can breathe and see while still having protection.
LAPPA
Great helm is kino
Sallet is the most aesthetic. Never understood why people like the great helm. It looks like a robot from the jetsons.
Frog Mouth mogs so fricking insanely hard
