High in Cholesterol, Higher Health Risks

>A single egg has 207 milligrams of cholesterol on average and some experts suggest that eating even one egg a day may exceed the safe upper limit for cholesterol intake in terms of cardiovascular disease risk. Dietary cholesterol may also contribute to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and cholesterol consumption was found to be a strong predictor of cirrhosis and liver cancer. After a meal that includes eggs, triglycerides and blood cholesterol shoot up. Those consuming the amount of cholesterol found in two Egg McMuffins or more each day appeared to double their risk of hospitalization or death. It’s no wonder the Dietary Guidelines of Americans mirror the National Academies of Science recommendation to consume as little cholesterol as possible.

    >Is fish a health food? The question is, compared to what? Compared to some of the healthiest foods—for example, fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains—fish are low in antioxidants and phytonutrients, lacking fiber, and do contain some cholesterol and saturated animal fat. While the consumption of whole plant foods has been associated with longer protective telomeres, the tips on each of our chromosomes that keep our DNA from unraveling and fraying, in contrast, consuming refined grains, soda, dairy, and meat, including fish, has been linked to shortened telomeres, a sign of cellular aging.

      >The largest study of diet and health was co-sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and the American Association of Retired Persons. Over a decade, researchers followed about 545,000 men and women aged 50 to 71 and came to the same conclusion as the Harvard researchers: Meat consumption was associated with increased risk of dying from cancer, dying from heart disease, and dying prematurely in general. Again, this was after controlling for other diet and lifestyle factors.

Did they control for other factors such as americans washing their chicken with fricking chlorine?

I don't buy this shit at all, maybe there's a difference between fricking beef burgers drenched in oil and cheese and a piece of steak and some sweet potatoes. They really control for that? Bullshit.

        >More Milk, More Fractures, More Disease, and More Premature Death?
        >In the population study “Milk Intake and Risk of Mortality and Fractures in Women and Men,” researchers following more than 100,000 men and women in Sweden for about 20 years found significantly higher rates of bone and hip fractures, heart disease, cancer, and premature death in general for women who drank more milk. Three glasses a day was associated with nearly twice the risk of dying early. Men with higher milk consumption were also recorded having a higher risk of premature death.

This would need a massive amount of explaining.

        Group A:
Vegetarian and vegan. Actually pay attention to their diet. Keep an eye on macros, limit inflammatory foods, avoid junk food and unhealthy snacks.

        Group B
Eats meat and literally anything else. Just whatever is easiest. Plenty of shit junk food.

        Group C
Eats meat but has an actual diet. Watches macro intake, don’t eat junk, etc. This group is so small they would be a statistical rounding error.

      >antioxidants
      Literally a meme. Completely unscientific.
      >phytonutrients
      Inferior to animal nutrients
      >lacking fibre
You don't need much. Fibrecels are mind controlled by gut bacteria telling them to eat hay and sugar.
      >cholesterol and saturated fat
      Good.
