If you actually try to emulate his lifestyle and trainings to a T, then you are a moron. Goggins himself says that you shouldn’t emulate his lifestyle, because it’s something he does to cope with his traumas, and for most people, it will literally put them in a wheelchair or a grave.
The basic message he wants to spread is that most people only use 40% of their true potential, because they live a lifestyle of not taking risks and going above average and mediocrity, basically most people don’t push themselves over their comfort zone.
He wants to spread the fact that instead of only focusing on callousing your body, you should try callousing your mind too, and to actually do that, you need to push the comfort zone that your mind limits you to.

Once he escaped from there with his mother, they went to a small town, were from around 10,000 residents, he was 1 out of the only 10 black people from there. He also lived in that town when the KKK was relatively in it's prime. Saying it was only bullying, it's quite the underestimation.
