    funny story about a anti aging startup from my city
    got big funding in 2013, about 150mil from a tech billionaire
    they wanted to slow down aging and looked at chromosome ends, telomeres
    financed like 4 studies (i was in one of them, got enough money for like half a year of college)
    end of the story:
    told their billionaire investor to eat plant based (vegan) on a calorie deficit and exercise moderately if he wants to live longer
    he never gave them more money

    I started eating plant based for this study back then and never stopped
    Most participants reduced their telomeres age by around 15%; a 66yo guy, i started going to the gym with him, reduced it to like mid 40s
    Personally went from 22-24 to 19-20

    just get your macros AND micro nutrients right, exercise, don't do drugs or have a dangerous job and you'll probably live way longer than the average person

            but probably lots of pudding vegans

            if you eat nuts, seeds and veggies like kale and spinach regularly you basically can't be iron deficient
            even my 200g oats for breakfast have like 70% of my daily iron intake

    If veganism has such benefits I would like to see a case study of people who were following a strict vegan diet from early infancy to their 20s. I've seen a couple "vegan" athletes who only swapped to that diet after they had completed years of training and competition, I would like to see a college level athlete who tried to maintain veganism while actually gaining muscle and building endurance.
