HOMEGYM OWNERS ONLY

itt post:
your bench 1rm at the gym you used to go to
your bench 1rm at your homegym

it cannot be just me. my 1rm is more than 10kg weaker than at any public gym despite the owner telling me the exact weight of their bars.
my setup is a pretty standard rack, bench and 20kg bar but it feels completely different
way i see it there is only one explanation here:
>gym owners are frauding barbell weights to make ppl think they are stronger

    What's more likely:
    1. A worldwide conspiracy by all gym owners everywhere to make weights 10% lighter and make people think they're stronger than they are, or
    2. You have social anxiety and get nervous lifting around other people

Gym weights are easier. I think its the bar because the weights feel the same.

i think the bench quality makes a difference. if you have one of those thin wobbly things like picrel it's not the same as a nice one

This is huge. Had a shit bench at home that was woobly and anything over 170lbs+bodyweight was sketch.

What the frick? And I've put 3.5 plaet on it. Doesn't bend at all. I don't understand. Why. Why why why why

This is why at a gym I go to I start low, and work up.
      God I hate rubber plates.

You fricking tard, if you lift 10kg less at a public gym than at your home gym that means the weights at the gym would have to weigh MORE than what's labeled

theres only one way to solve this, and i know that you care enough to do it, since this isnt the first time ive seen you talking about this. bring a scale in your bag and weigh the barbell. you might be afraid to because you think people will think you are weird, but "is this bar actually 20kg" is a question that EVERYBODY asks themselves. it would be weird to just carry in a scale so bring it in a bag and just take it out when you get the barbell

Nah, you're the Black person here. If you load up 2pl8 on the bench at home and can do it no problem but you can't do the same at your local gym, that means the weights at the gym are heavier than what's listed. I understand that they don't teach math or critical thinking in the ghetto but try to take a second and think before slapping your dumb Black person fingers on the keyboard, okay?

      Delusional, both of you.

Assuming there is no significant difference in equipment quality or OP's mental state between his home gym and the public gym, only two possibilities remain:
      >POSSIBILITY 1: If Anon's home gym weights are accurately labeled, but not his public gym plates, then the public gym's plates are lighter than the listed weight.
      >POSSIBILITY 2: If Anon's public gym plates are accurately labeled, but not his home gym plates, then the home gym's plates are lighter than the listed weight.
Both are equally plausible in theory until OP weighs his barbell and weights at home and records the results. You don't need to go to the gym and act like an insane equipment-weighing schizophrenic in public.

Fricking hell. Every time I make a post longer than three sentences, it is doomed to have a catastrophic typo in it, no matter how much I proofread.

also you misread the OP which nullifies your whole post to begin with

Why is autism such a kryptonite to women? Women can be shy/spergy and men don't give a shit, if anything we think it's cute a lot of the time

I really hate how women don't give a shit about how you look. Lifting for them is pointless.
They just care about dumb bullshit like "personality" and "confidence", I hate it so much bros

Why can't they just be like men?
      >see hot guy
      >wow, he's hot, I don't care about anything else
Even if you're decent looking, you still need a non-spergy confident personality to match

I frick bawds but I can't bring my self to ever marry a girl that's been fricked by other guys. It's essentially impossible to find a girl who has her shit together that's also a virgin.

The plan I came up with is to find a salvageable chubby girl that's a virgin as there seems to be a decent amount of them. One that's not too far gone, likely some self esteem issues and just needs a little reaffirmation. I've bulked and cut a bunch of time so I should have a pretty good estimate of how long it would take to get a girl to what size. Going to aim for about 6-8 months of cutting to get her fit. Might have to work on a couple girls at the same time and see which one actually puts in the work or not. End result should be a cute fit virgin wife that's loyal.

Ive had a similar experience. Only difference in my setup is the bar is slightly thicker, the plates probably dont rotate as much on the barbell and, for bench, I tend to start from a higher position than the fixed position at the gym. My adjustable dumbells also have a thicker, more difficult grip.

I've been saying that about plates. 5kg at home feels like close to 10kg at my gym. I've measures the plates at home multiple times and they're exactly 5kg. But they feel far heavier than the 5kg ones at the gym. Maybe because home plates at all metal and the ones at the gym have a layer of rubber around them? But even dumbbells, I can do curls with 17.5 kg dumbbells at the gym, 4 sets of 8. but at home 17.5 feels a lot like 25kg at gym

You know i almost feel bad about this body positivity shit, even though women did it to themselves. Because it makes a woman like this seem completely obvlious to the fact that her weight is the issue because women like to pretend all women are beautiful regardless, whereas if it were a fat guy he'd at least having people being honest that his weight is probably a factor and actually have the drive to do something about it instead of being deluded and acting like there's no explanation
