I don't get all these health memes about bathing in stuff that wont pass your skin. How would salts possibly do anything for you? At most it will interface with your skin somewhat, it's not going to magically penetrate into your muscles and joints unless your skin is rotting or something.
Who told you it wouldn't pass through your skin? Ever notice how when you take a long bath, the skin on your fingers gets wrinkled? That's because of osmosis. Water with dissolved ions tends to pass through barriers into water without said ions until both sides equalize. In regular water, your body will secrete fluids because of the imbalance of dissolved solids.
So if you bathe in water with dissolved minerals (like Epsom salt) your body will absorb the ions (in this case magnesium).
>the skin on your fingers gets wrinkled? That's because of osmosis.
wrong, its a nervous system response, they managed to make peoples fingers wrinkly without the touch of any water by manipulating their nervous system
I have Eczema so I took to trying it out one or twice a week to see if it helps. The first time, I got out and felt like I had DOMS over my whole body. It's relaxing and just wanted to fall asleep afterwards. I'll keep doing it once a week for sure.
It's amazing.
I take a scalding hot epsom salt bath every week, followed by a freezing cold shower. It sounds awful but the shower at the end genuinely feels like it's cleansing my soul.
Interesting with the cold shower, I'm gonna try that! Unfortunately, can't do scalding hot water because I have Eczema and it'll frick up my skin too much.
wait what the frick hot tubs are like the same as/better than saunas? I just got a hot tub and was trying to not spend too much time in it cause I remember it being bad for you or something
It just cooks your sperm temporarily which is only an issue if you're trying to get your wife pregnant. It doesnt lower test.

In the third world country of burgerland, the people mostly have showed-tub combos, the tub part of which is much too small for the average American as pictured in /fph threads to fit in. Thus they are forced to shower by the big corporations, or pay for the privilege of having a larger house that can accommodate a tub that can fit their girth.
I got into a very hot bath recently for the first time in like 20 years and I could swear I was close to a heart attack or something. Hard to explain but I went in and my chest felt really funny, it was beating fast as frick and I got kinda dizzy and sleepy, so I quickly left. Kinda spooky.
I agree.
Recently started Epsom salt bathing, felt so good afterwards.
fug, I don't have a bath in my current apartment
> t. 28yo who just had a bath for the first time some months ago and realized they're the shit

If I spread my ass and open my mouth underwater can I become a fountain?
